Im wondering where the red light come from?

 

They are navigation lights (red on port and green on starboard). It helps avoid collisions with other planes at night and also has a "right of way" purpose. Or it can be passing a red light source.

Looking at the hydra photo, Ned Luke's character seems like the protag. As nice as it was to finally get a look at V I can't help but be disappointed.

Okay, so either, we have 2 fighter planes or the one from the trailer got replaced by this one... This resembles an F-16 and F-18 and not an F-35 and AV-8 (like my sig)) seeing as the F35 and Av8are both VTOl aircraft, we may have the HYdra+ another fighter

Planes have lights on them that flash.

theres no light on the wing, and if there was one, the wing wont be lightened like that

Yea its not coming from the plane. If that were the case there would also be a green light on the right wing. Which would be wrong because green is port(left) and red is starboard(right).

 

Its probably coming from a tower the player is flying by

I would venture that it is likely early morning in game and the sun is just rising (possibly setting; depends on which direction the plane is pointed). Not enough to have illuminated the city, but just enough to start lighting things up in the sky. Like how you see the sun appear on the tops of hillsides first.

I was thinking its from the tower by the Vinewood sign?

I could see that. Are there trees below the Vinewood sign because there appear to be a fair amount of trees below the plane. And I'm not sure about lights actually on the plane given the amount of light and the angle it would need to come from to cover that much surface area of the plane itself.

I think they just tweaked it a little, I also think the maverick was just a placeholder for the screenshot helicopter.

Yep, I had similar thoughts. I'm hoping that there is more than one type of fighter aircraft.

BUT the problem with that is we all know how rockstar can embelish there games via screenshots.

I disagree with this. Rockstar dont apply post production on screenshots even when IV was being promoted. All the screens that came out were the real deal i.e in-game stills.

 

Photoshopping is essentially cheating in and its false advertising. I cant imagine for a second Rockstar tricking the fans in this way at all. Ever. Rockstar are known for showing their game for what it truly is.

 

Now EA and Activision on the other hand...

I agree. If you think older is necessarily a bad thing, you should check out Breaking Bad. There are several characters in that show that are older and I certainly wouldn't look forward to crossing paths with them. Things aren't always as they seem.

Nice idea but what would be totally EPIC is if we can light an afterburner or just put the throttle on but not in gear and blow cars 20 ft in the air as they drive behind us.

Nope, what it did have was an ugly DoF effect which was also in the trailer, then dimished. Also the textures aren't maxed out to be honest, look closely at the car pic for example, they're normal textures.

I really think these are in-game screenshots, they have their dev tools. But oh well.

They could be shots from a high-end PC i agree, stills always look good though.

Christ, I've wanted this for so long. I had hoped that the 747s that taxi around in Liberty City's airport would blow cars away (or suck players in), but that never happened.

I think Rockstar applies a very powerful "Antialiasing"(with photoshop of corse ) to their screenshots (take a look at IV pics for example)
