Unique weapons in this game are a joke. All they have are normal weapons with legendary effects, slap on a name.

Worth noting that's literally what the uniques in F3 were, too. As usual, mods to the rescue- there's a great one which turns every one of the legendary effects into a unique attachment which visually differs from the stock weapon.

 

And most of the uniques in Skyrim as well(I can only remember 2, blade of woe and chillrend ). Unless they were added in with DLC, like that sword you get at the end of Dragonborn.(Not counting the daedric artifacts)

Isn't it sad you can get an explosive submachine gun and have the Spray 'N Pray? No, that defeats the purpose of Unique weapons. Because unique weapons are supposed to be, you know, unique. Not just get a new name while being the same as all the rest.

 

I could ramble a long story about my PC playthough, console playthrough, and my new (console) playthrough that I started the other night and am really enjoying.

But i'll spare you all and just leave a little anecdote.

But I want the long story...

I watched a few minutes of the Bethesda twitch video for Nuka world and the two Bethesda staff members kept dying to much and I couldn't bare to watch it anymore and turned the video off!..

 

I couldn't bare watching it for 1 minute long without skipping. They presented it like..

 

"Blablabla........(awkward silence)......blablabla? blabla.....(awkward silence)...........blabla, uh...blablabla.....hahaha.....(awkward silence)...."

I lowered the floor in the main room by two story's, so when you enter the main big chamber it feel's like your going into a vault and I wanted to see the overseer's round window whenever I enter the vault


I just finished this build last night and I didn't build near the other three vault workbenches and built it mostly in the two train tunnels going to the water purifier chamber and the rest in the uranium mine!..


The other day I finished all the Vault tec quests and when settlers moved in they wouldn't go to the sections near the other three workbenches and stayed in the main front chamber all the time, so I started this vault last night keeping it as tight to the front right area as possible, no long turning corridors in this build, the vault maintenance tunnel is the longest corridor going to the water purifier chamber room and it's straight tunnel

Just got the Automatron DLC. About to install Ada's radar beacon. Those Quantum Robots are insane! Even my most powerful gun (278 damage) takes 3-5 hits on one of them!

That's how it is with their games, you either play them as they are and accept their flaws or you cry about it on the internet. Nobody's stopping you from applying at bethesda and trying to change that.

That's how it is with their games, you either play them as they are and accept their flaws or you cry about it on the internet. Nobody's stopping you from applying at bethesda and trying to change that.

 

Cool, but I don't think a game developer should be excused for their name. It's like that ass at work that's been an ass so many times he's got a reputation. People hate him, but know he isn't going to change. Same with Bethesda. We hate their sh*tty antics (AKA Bugs and the like) but know they won't change, so we deal with it. Doesn't mean it ain't a sh*tty reputation.

So I just got the Salvaged Assaultron Head, Tesla Rifle, and Tesla T-60. Let me tell you, the Penetrator perk works wonders on taking power armor. 90% chance to hit the core, from the front. Let's just say I had to shoot her twice (A double penetration, if you will) to get the frame. I wasn't wasting anything other than .38s. It's at the point that I'm running out of places to put my power armor. I never wear any.

Decided to uninstall some mods I don't use anymore, just weapons and armor so far. I might come back around and delete more to make room for bigger mods...

I found out that after Quincy Quarries and all the raiders are killed and you start Vault 88 that Quincy Quarries is taken off the Radiant quest list, so I'm going to re-download Conquest - Build New Settlements and Camping by Chesko mod and either use it to clean up the outside of Vault 88 in Quincy and or make the outside into a settlement, maybe a robot settlement!..

 

A nexusmods member named Old Nick in this mod Cleanup Quincy Quarry by cartman1975 mentions this below

They already made fools out of themselves.

There are already lots of mods that made this game better. And if you have the chance to have a more enjoyable experience then why the hell not? See it this way: Yes Bethesda should fix a lot of things and should made a better game but the thing is.. They didn't! So you can wait till Beth decides to make fallout more rpg and investing in a new engine or you just pick some mods you like(if they ever come) and enjoy the game.

 

 

Anyway i'm waiting for Nuka World and mods.Can't wait to explore a brand new area.

Because I don't like the instability of mods. One wrong move- Crash. Even more than the crashes that Bethesda caused!

 

No mods ever come out I like. My nexus account is filled with New Vegas. Nothing for Fallout 4 (Yes, I own the game on PC. Don't play it due the sheer amount of crashes, and how I can't play my DLC I bought on the console). It's all stupid looking guns/weapons, nude mods (which are fine, but there are better ways to get your share of nude women than fallout), slutty vault suits, and the occasional good mod buried beneath all the crap.

 

I just want Bethesda (or Obsidian) to make another game mixing Fallout 4 and New Vegas. I would be at home, and that game would be king. While Fallout 4 is good, it has made some terrible decisions and mentioning mods only pisses me off more. Why can random people fix Bethesda's mistakes in days or occasionally weeks? It shows laziness. So yeah, I'm going to enjoy Automatron and keep playing Fallout 4. But telling someone to 'stop whining' is bullsh*t, because there's usually a reason.

 

Fans are supposed to critique their cherished work. And they will.

I'd expect NMM to install them correctly. I modified the necessary files, and even had my best friend (an avid modder) take a look at it. He said I was fine.

I can honestly say that I have never had a mod break my game, and I've used hundreds of them in multiple games, and have even made a couple of them myself. If the game literally breaks, it means I've f*cked up somewhere. Now I obviously can't say for sure if it was user error in your case or not, but calling mods in general unstable because of one bad experience is taking it a bit far.

Similarly I've modded F3, FNV and F4 to buggery and whilst I've had a few instances when .odd have caused issues, generally they have been absolutely fine and certainly in the case of FNV the game was actually more stable and substantially less buggy with certain mods installed.

I seen a weapon mod at nexusmods today that shoots bubbles out and can trap the enemy inside it and make them float away Globulizing Nucleator by ElPolloAzul

Many experiences...

 

 

Ada has got to be the worst companion in Fallout 4. No affinity, no unique quest (besides the Automatron main quest), not even a little quest where she asks you to go back to the place she lost her friends, nothing.
