Should've guessed, these guys "confirmed" the website "fake" as soon as it came out, just because the server was "hosted" in Poland or some sh*t.

Now the server is moved near ZeniMax HQ.

 

Those guys are unreliable just like that Kotaku horrendous article, it made me sick when I read it.

 

Like I mentioned over a gazillion times, if this were fake, then the hoaxer enjoys to pay a sh*tload of money, the website had 225k visits since it was launched ~30 days ago.

Or it is actually Bethesda.

Don't get your hopes too high about that race selection. All Fallout had only human as protagonists, so I doubt this one will be different. It's simply too much work for all the factions (animations, perks, traits, etc.). It could be nice, but it would bring some heavy limits into the gameplay (Super Mutant with a pistol? Ghoul with heavy weapon? Not gonna happen).

 

Also I wonder if Mutants will be there, because it would be rather strange place for them unless Bethesda will start coming with some other ridiculous ideas.

If they were to be a race selection, I think it would be cool if they had a secret alien race that you could somehow unlock. Oh and i'm sorry that my post in this thread haven't really been useful to the discussion, but I like to add my two cents to the speculation aspect of games. It allows to use my imagination. I also hope that FO4 is as littered with historical and religious references like FO3 was. It's a cool thing when you are reading up on some history and all of a sudden you realize a reference that you had missed before.

I think they were a little pessimistic when it first came to light(like me). But more evidence has come up and a lot have seemed to have jumped on the bandwagon believing it is real. But the forum isn't that bad, you do get the occasional FO1/Fo2 fanboy though who hates Bethesda and will refuse to believe the site is real no matter what you say.

 

I read that article and was shocked how poorly written it was with their reasons not to believe the site is real.

Doubt it. Obsidian is working on two games right now (South park and Project eternity). They are a big studio but three games at once seems too much for me.

Bethesda can do a great job themselves, but they are very inconsistent with their writing. On one hand they made quests like: Tenpenny Tower or add-ons like Point Lookout and The Pitt and on the other they made FO3 story and add-ons like Mothership Zeta or Broken Steel. If they only could keep the higher level writing it wouldn't be bad.

The inconsistency comes from the fact that the script is being written by tens of people, hence it suffers from an uneven quality of those. I reckon it's hard to keep it levelized when you work with so many different writers. It's obvious though, so why am I even telling this .

The writing in Bethesda's games gets better every one game they make, or at least I think that way. Skyrim for instance, had a rather nice level of writing, especially when compared to Fallout 3 and the infamous Oblivion, which had a pretty terrible writing in general.

For a studio that develops RPGs, Bethesda has pretty piss poor writing.

Im sure there will be something. But only on that website and then we have status quo again, cause noone can tell if its official or not.

 

My guess is, that we get just some cryptic stuff.

Fair point. Bethesda know about this and so too do ZeniMax which asks the question why they allow it to stay up? Especially for the past 3 weeks.
