Quincy Ruins is rough as hell, as soon as I got there all hell broke loose. A group of Super Mutants got there before me... there was green body parts everywhere.

Me and Danse cleared that sh*thole out yesterday! Good loot, but it is rough. Careful of the guy on church roof, carries a Fatman.

Edit-Just saw the response above yours.

Tessa is the bitch in power armor with power fist, so is Clint with a fiery laser rifle. Baker is the real trouble, mofo has heavy combat armor and a Fatman.

I had a run in with those nob ends the other night aswell. Didn't know if I should kill them or not because they had names, but at the end of the day they were hostile so they went down, was bloody tough at lvl 24-25 got the lvl25 achievement as I battled them.

I had nick with me, he wasn't much help.

Encountered someone in Raider Power Armor named Cutty. There's a talk option but they don't respond, they just keep pacing around and cursing under their breath.

I found a console command mod that allows you to bypass the amount of items you place in your settlements and you can build or place as much as you want, I can now build wall's around all my settlements and not worry about if I'll have enough resources left or my limit in the yellow from building to much

A console command mod? I...shouldn't be surprised =.=

What I love about Fallout 4, and all the recent Bethesda openworld games in the last decade or so, is the dynamic chaos that can occur. Things that happen seemingly at coincidence, that are different when you add all the factors of where you are, who you're with, how you're playing, who you're friends with, and other random factors. Just now, within the last 20 minutes of playing, I had a really enjoyable experience.

-snip-

Agree with what you're saying. I'm new to this game and series and so far, despite of some bugs/weird stuff I've encountered, the game is still impressive. I also like the fact that there's no pre-order DLC, day-1 DLC, selling in-game $, and all of this-era's gaming crap. The game feels bulky, big, and not missing a piece. Just like how I expect I want to get after spending 60 bucks. Would be glad to buy the story expansion in the future, if there's any.

Btw, when I was taking care of the Starlight Drive-In, I saw my settlers were gathering next to the building in the morning. I checked that out and they were looking at a radiated man standing there (can he also be considered as Ghoul?). Then the crowd was murmuring and yelled "do something!". I really like seeing it.

Yeah Bethesda limited the settlements size for performance reason but it can be upped by a simple console command. Very helpful as I can now realise the settlement that I invisioned I wanted to build now instead of being limited.

Don't play on pc, but I'm fairly sure all the mod does is alter a text file that anyone can change without downloading a mod for it. As for the cheats part, all he had to do was make a button that puts

"player.additem 000731a3 1000" into command prompt

not trying to say it's not useful, just....extremely basic.

on a slightly more....f*ck me moment

Fairly early quest but I'll still spoiler it up

i cleared the castle for the minutemen, as i was double checking for loot, when it told me to meet them in the courtyard, i check the map, and find them halfway back to sanctuary, i take a nap, and sure enough the quest hand in is at sanctuary, i get halfway to sanctuary (overburdened like all f*ck), and the bastards are now back in the damn courtyard. =.=

Playing that game for hours.

Yesterday, the Minutemen declared the liberation of the major location on the coast.

Took Codsworth with me, thought, i'd run to location, discover it, go back fasttravel for my PA.

Trying to sneak through the city, supermutant and raider checkpoints everywhere.

Think that riverside would be a better choice, got teached by mirelurks the better.

Found a PA between a load of LAVs on a pontoon and a couple of Gamma Guns in a firefight between Children of Atom and Gunners, though.

Legendary Rabid Radstag out of nowhere jumped my little company, left me a VATS improved leadpipe.

Finally, with depleted ammo and the PA reduced to shreds arrive at rendezvous point. Time to fasttravel and replenish my resources or so i thought, because the Minutemen decided to go Leeroy Jenkins immediately.

f*ck me, what are you doing i yelled mentally, charging after them.

The Big Boss and their little dangerous minions were a pain. Somehow Codsworth managed to fend off the little buggers, while i finally maneuvered the boss with rocket launcher to a wall, getting him stuck in a ladder, killing him with a 50 or so shots from the Laser Musketon.

Never leave home without Laser Musketon.

I love calling in a Vertibird for transport. It gives me flashbacks of Battlefield Vietnam.

Also, I happened across this epic mountain top battle... http://xboxclips.com/DarthYenik/f465fdd6-f1fe-4c22-a08d-64516ebfdc3f

Gamma guns are op

Though i think ive got enough .44 ammo to justify using my snubnosed pistol now.

Gamma guns are great. But finding ammo for it is the hard part.

Since everyone is talking about Gamma Guns,

Cool find. But it's basically useless against ghouls, since radiation heals them.

Haven't experienced Gamma Guns as that great. Raiders just kept swallowing loads of rads before melting, my 10mm made a shorter process with them.

I don't even mention mirelurks.

Also, do Codsworth mention you by name postwar? Or is it just in the pregame?

German version has this feature cut, so i don't know.

The Gamma Gun requires a special taste imo. I rarely use it however.

And i'm not sure about Codsworth, since my name isn't compatible for him to say.

I've only used it on legendary raiders. Nothing short from a nuke kills them faster. Though I'm assuming difficulty settings would limit how useful it would be. I'm on survival difficulty.

Yeah, Survival Difficulty definitely turns enemies into bullet sponges.

The most annoying enemy in the game so far, assaultrons that eye laser is so annoying, Battlestar Galactica called they want their Cylons back.

My least favourite location so far, the glowing sea the constant noise from the rad meter is annoying.

The one change that they made to the game that i don't like is no longer having the ability to force locks when lockpicking, some locks can be annoying when trying to pick them.

Has anyone figured out how to thrown grenades in vats yet? i've tried it a few times and nothing happens, do guns have to be unequpped before grenades can be used in vats, hopefully using grenades in vats hasn't been removed from the game

Yeah he does prior and after the war. But I've only heard him say it once since pre game when I returned to sanctuary settlement once.

I have a rolling pin that inflicts radiation damage.

I have yet to understand how that even makes the littlest of sense, haha.

It's great if you use vats a lot, but also wastes a lot of bullets.

Jesus Christ, faced a Legendary Assaultron that not only doesn't indicate when they're going to fire that insta-killer laser beam but also erupts in an explosion after being defeated, ugh.

I use VATS constantly and plan on turning it into a sniper rifle with the .308 ammo. I already got a couple ranks in the automatic weapon and rifleman perk too.

Well in the real world objects exposed to high levels of radiation remain contaminated and emit radiation themselves. There's still fire fighter outfits in the basement of the proyripat hospital where the firefighters were treated for radiation burns from fighting the meltdown. In actual fact if I remember correctly apart from the actual nuclear plant that basement is the second most eradicated part of Chernobyl still. So a contaminated rolling pin isn't to far out there.

There is a mod out that unlocks left out building material's for the shacks, it also has some nice wooden wall pieces, and has the filler wooden rectangle angled wall piece for the biggest shack you can plop, see images below, area it closes I circled yellow in the image in windows paint, owe the wooden shack filler piece is easier to place within side the shack!..

mod is called Expanded Settlement Buildings

Yes, he calls your name even post war. Though usually when he is a companion.

Feels nice to be called Sir Eric all the time.
