GtaVComments 8
So you rate Valencia over Xavi, Pirlo etc ? Valencia has pace, can cross, is strong, versatile in RB too and can pop up with a goal here and there to win you big games. No doubt Xavi & Pirlo are quality players but Xavi, if you really think about it, is a 10-15 yard passer for BARCELONA with Messi on the end of his passes! He doesn't tend to score a lot and is also in his 30's now, same with Pirlo. In my opinion, they're past there prime and there's only ten slots! You never put your ten either. @Chunk: Only player Spurs have with a chance of top ten these days is Luca Modric, and he's imminent to Real Madrid . chris 92
It's tricky to name Top 10 players as there's hundreds of class players who are good for different reasons, I'll just do a list of players i like to watch or admire for whatever reason. 1. Lionel Messi 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic 4. Iniesta 5. David Silva 6. Wayne Rooney 7. Marcelo 8. Mats Hummels 9. Yaya Toure 10. Karim Benzema No particular order, just a group of players i like really who're top class.

GtaVComments 8
^^^ Pirlo & Zlatan maybe (a joke), but the rest seem ok, although I'm not too keen on Tevez no. 8 tbh!
Mr Rabbit 404
So you rate Valencia over Xavi, Pirlo etc ? I can see his point, for his position valencia is amazing, he is a classic winger, what a winger should be. I would rate xavi over him, and Pirlo alongside him personally first 4 were easy, got hard to separate ater that with my personal ratings out of 100: 1- Leo messi - 97 2 - Andres Iniesta - 95 3 - Cristiano Ronaldo -94 4 - David villa - 90 5 - Nemanja Vidic - 88 6 - Gerard Pique - 87 7 - Vincent Kompany - 87 8 - Xavi Hernandez - 87 9 - Bastian Schweinsteiger - 86 10 - Mats hummels - 85 I know it is odd that 4 CBs are there, I find that odd too. there are 8 more on the 85 of Hummels (so joint tenth, hence why i am noting these) including Rooney, Valencia, Pirlo, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Hulk and RVP Edited August 25, 2012 by NateShaw92

fgcarva1 12
So yeah, I'm a Barcelona lover. You don't say? And yeah, this list is too tough for me since I can think of many.. not in order. 1. Messi 2. CR7 3. David Villa 4. Ibrahimovic 5. Thiago Silva 6. Oscar (yeah, the kid is definitely better than overrated Neymar) 7. Iniesta 8. Buffon (still one of the best GK out there) 9. Benzema 10. RVP (mostly because of his form last season This was a tough list, so many good players. f*ck Rooney though.
JuventusFC 1
Omg these lists are horrible. Obviously you all haven't been following football very long or rely on the words of other people to make your decisions. Hummels, Pique, Valencia, Oscar, Neymar, Kompany, Gerrard, Benzema, Muller, Casillas, Reus in the top 10...is this some kind of joke thread? I suggest all of you actually watch football instead of basing it on ratings from FIFA or PES. Edited August 26, 2012 by JuventusFC

I know Barzagli from his time in Wolfsburg, don't tell me that he's better than those CB's mentioned, that's ridicolous. He's decent, but that's it. Yep, he was average at Wolfsburg and Palermo before that but last season and this season so far he has been an absolute monster in defence. We bought him for like €500,000 and somehow he has just turned into this absolute beast. I don't think he's cost us 1-2 goals for the whole time since the start of 2011-12 and arguably was our 2nd best player of the season last season behind Pirlo. I've seen him placed in many top XIs of Europe for last season. He carried that form in the euros for the matches he played too (apart from the final lol). He is an absolute brickwall right now and is probably better than Chiellini too.

I guarantee 100% Kompany is not in the top 10. Best CB in the world you gotta be kidding. Thiago Silva is by a good stretch the best CB due to his complete package. Kompany is not half the defender TS, Chiellini, Puyol, Vidic, Barzagli etc are. Pique is overrated, look how much worse defensively Barca & Spain are without Puyol but not that much worse without Pique. I wouldn't say Gerrard is that good, sure he's very good but one of the greatest ever? I really wouldn't say that. Buffon is better right now than he has been in the past few years. Out of all GKs in Europe last season he had the second lowest amount of goals conceded to games ratio. (I think first was a german gk, maybe monchengladbach don't remember that well). And I said Puyol 'when fit'

And the guys I talk to are some of the most knowledgeable guys I know (In terms of football), so calling them deluded is both naive and hypocritical from a guy who thinks Barzagli is up there with Vinny, Pique, Silva etc etc. Casillas is overall better than Buffon. That stat or fact or whatever you want to call it means nothing because the two play in different leagues. And to top it off, you don't see Gerrard as one of the best ever? Says it all really...
