Hellya and aeroof2 should use that new Project IV logo as the main LOGO for this project,its look fantastic...

i think that XMakarusX gave project iv the permission to use it, i sent him a message asking for permission and he said " i think" so we can use the direct x mod for gta:PIV turn.gif

I would recommand to stay with stock graphics and make a timecyc with IV colors. I mean, not everyone can run SA with ENB (me including). smile.gif

Vans 0.3 is still in early stages, not all merged and not all models converted, hellya and xx have a lot of textures to finish and lods, so meybe summer or so, i suppose

Concentrating on enb so much, means this mod is developing for 'screens and such stuff'?

 

Just look to GTA Shift as example, the guy even making some missions for his mod, cause he want users to play his mod. Also, he did great work on optimization (lods, collision models).

Being honest, i give a big flying f*ck about missions and stuff

IV has alot of missions and side events that theres still alot left for this mod to

get there.

 

I would prefer to have en eye candy(enb or not) for a long time than some horrible looking stuff

theres still alot of testing and fails to go, so something looking good would be better.

 

EDIT;

Watched the videos from gta shift, the guy doesnt prelight, he doesnt make dinamic props

he is leaving alot of work behind, he may have paths or working highlights, but still msses alot to give out a nice looking

 

Hence stock SA looks better

He making his own missions. Like street racing etc.

 

But it's your opinion. For me, I wouldn't play this with graphics and lags if I can play 4 with graphics and without lags.

With that "i better play IV" argument you killed any wise stuff behind it

You come here saying making SA look better is crap becouse of lags but you support

a mod that has no prelights, no particles or dinamic props....believe i made my effort but

sorry i couldnt see any logic there

I believe Project IV and DirecX will be seperated,if it combined together,the people who have a low PC that wanted to play IV but,they cant and downloading Project IV with DirectX (High Sett ENB) its just the same they play IV with High setts,

 

The purpose of this mod is to make people that cant play the real IV to play it in SA engine,it might be not as close as IV but,at least they know how is IV look like

 

I love DirectX,its a nice enb but,for Project IV,i prefer the mod use the original look of GTA SA but,with different timecyc maybe IV timecyc or something else,so people with Low PC can handle it

i plan, or hope to add missions in the future, but i also want eye candy to go with it. Plus to, enb is just a few settings, so i can take a break from converting here and there and develop the enb more, where missions would take lots and lots of coding, so i'm going to wait until the map is done first

 

 

how install skin selector on project liberty city ?

 

 

install the mod like normal, except the gta.dat. Instead of replacing the file, just add the IMG Models\XXX\XXX.img to the spot where the others is on the top of the page

Yeah, but with enb, all you have to do is delete a few .dll files and BAM! like magic enb is no longer there. Plus to, with each enb i put with the mod, i make sure it still looks ok with default graphics also. Anyway, somebody will probably make a timecyc for the default graphics anyway, but if not i'll work on that later

DK i think it would be best if hellya would finish map first and then focus on adding missions, and extras.

And besides it's better with ENB
