BiggT Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 If noone hasen't already said this i think R* should add gas tanks to gta to make it more realistic so if u were to goto for one part of Los Santos to the end it would maybe take u 2 or 3 depending on what type of car u have(if its a gas guziler) or fuel effecient. Yeah it's pretty suprising that it's been nine months and only until now has somebody suggested that. So, the part where the helicopter takes a direct hit from a rocket and doesn't just blow up instantly or buck wildly and crash into the ocean was totally plausible? And anyways, no I don't just play games to experience plausible stuff. I don't play games to experience the inconveniences of fuel and hunger. I don't play games to fill out tax forms or go to an office job. I play games because they can create environments that seem a hell of a lot like real life, but I can do things in them that would get me killed or arrested in the real world with barely a consequence. Hell, I use cheats, so basically in all 3 episodes I have a reality warping cell phone. And I like it. But then there's suggestions like this. Suggestions that would basically have me sitting at a gas station, even if it does take hours to run out. I don't find sitting at a gas station, waiting for my tank to top off any fun, ok? It's not fun. It's sitting there doing nothing or pumping gas. It's not exciting, it's not a break from reality, it's an inconvenience from reality that everyone hates seeping into a game that's really much more hollywood realism than actual realism. Trust me, it might be "cool" to stop and fill up the first couple times, but as time went on, filling up would be nothing but an annoyance. Yep, it's been discussed countless times. I remember reading somewhere that Dan Houser said the idea was brought up in a meeting one time and subsequently laughed off of the table.
