Exxon
Probably not, you're gonna have to wait a while for a CPU that can max out IV at 1080p at a solid 60fps As for the GTX 660 Ti, there are only rumors so we can't tell you how that card is going to perform. I have only read rumors, but you shouldn't worry about the card as that is a very powerful one anyway and IV is way more about the CPU Edited August 16, 2012 by Exxon

unc13bud
256 bit bus, just like my gt640 is held back by 128 bit, although less texture units plays a part also. not sure if rockstar even coded the game to think about rop count, let us know how it turns out
Exxon
yes i5 can easily max out 1080p 60fps. 660 ti, maybe nit but maybe 40-50fps I doubt that, maybe if you OC to about 5 GHz or more. At standard clocks or lower than the above, I doubt you get a solid 60fps. But, that could easily be me

yoječ
GTX660Ti is just above GTX580. It should be very good for GTA4.

Dr. John
As we all are talking about GTX here, I wanted to know if there is one GTX which is around 50$ and can, maybe, max out GTA 4 with i5 chip? I am actually going to buy i5 chipset so I thought any compatible GTX would be perfect for playing GTA 5 too.
yoječ
Nope, $50 is definitely not enough.
Dr. John
Nope, $50 is definitely not enough. What about 100$? If this would have been a case, I would have bought a simple and efficient 300$ PC. If a GPU itself will cost 1/3 of the Budget then I will go for a simple GeForce 8600.
yoječ
For ~$100 you should be able to find used GTX460, which might just be enough. Avoid SE, Green, and V2 versions, as well as 768MB (unless it's significantly cheaper). 8600 won't cut it.
Dr. John
Point of View Geforce GTX 460 768MB Price: 195$ (approx) Will this one max out GTA 4 with i5 chipset? I know you said to avoid 768MB but it's cheap if I look on my budget.
yoječ
$195 is far too much for a GTX460, you'd be able to buy a newer and more power efficient HD7770 for way less.
Dr. John
You don't know but I just converted it from 10,900/- INR. I was also shocked to see it but our economy is below water and that's what I can expect if I buy this GPU. Also, is ATi's GPUs are better than nVidia's?
