xRescue2x
We all use the radio in GTA for music and talk shows. What if there was another use for them in GTA V? For example, Los Angeles has a lot of heavy, dense traffic. What if in the morning and evening hours, we saw helicopters cruising above highways and crowded streets, so we turn on a specific channel, and boom; We've got the actual traffic report. News: You see 10 police cars fly by you and you follow them. You turn on a specific channel, and boom; You've been informed of a large bank robbery. When you're cruising in a police car, and a call comes through the police radio, it should be accurate. If you go to the given location, the actual emergency is happening right before your eyes. LS Fire, EMS, Police, and Public Works should have their own channel on the radio in every car, and act as a scanner.
Lock n' Stock
Really good ideas! There should also be the option to adjust the volume without having to pause the game.

JB94
Radios should also be able to play custom soundtracks (as in music from the HDD), we live in 2012, our cars' sound systems play CDs, mp3 and even mp4s, as well as the radio.
Matt4936
Really good ideas! There should also be the option to adjust the volume without having to pause the game. The only problem with that is there aren't enough buttons on consoles.

This! Couldn't be that hard to load MP3s from your hard drive into your in game cellphone and have them play in the car or even on foot.
