coin-god
I said it twice, but I will say it again. f*ck you Edison. You don't deserve the respect most people feel towards you. http://www.noob.us/humor/family-guy-thomas-edison/ And a little comedy.
Finn 7 five 11
Out of curiosity, did his wireless free energy work? Did the ever run tests, small scale and on the tower? Or even in theroy? Just seems that if it worked, why in the last x amount of years has it not been futher researched? But yeah, hats off to the visionaries. Yes, google wireless electricity, they developed it some years ago, they are working on it.
Fireman
I still don't know how much of this crap posted above I should believe. Sounds like they're doing now what Edison was doing back then.
nightwalker83
Without Nikola Tesla I would hate to think what Red Alert would use instead of Tesla coils.
ryuclan
I still don't know how much of this crap posted above I should believe. Sounds like they're doing now what Edison was doing back then. Tesla was very eccentric and, in my opinion, the epitome of a mad scientist. He also became actually crazy later in his life. The man was cookey is ehat I'm trying to say lol but he was a damn genius. Edison was a hack who tried to discredit Tesla's ideas by using them in ways that would make people assume his discovery was dangerous (killing things/people). Believe what you will, but Edison didn't even invent the light bulb. adam broke it.

ghost of delete key
Tesla is on my toplist of Heroes, along with Benjamin Franklin. Amazing that there is no Tesla museum where he did his most phenomenal work... I've been to Edison's joint. Sad that the entire compound of the one who said “I have not failed - I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work” is preserved for posterity, while the Genius who created our modern power distribution method goes unrecognized. I say we buy Edison's "lab" and replace IT with a Tesla museum ***** Edison: “Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.” Tesla: “The future will show whether my foresight is as accurate now as it has proved heretofore.” Hmmm... ironic, isn't it? "I can just imagine him driving off the edge of a cliff like Thelma & Louise, playing his Q:13 mix at full volume, crying into a bottle." - Craig
Creed Bratton
I am actually very pleasantly surprised that so many Americans respect Tesla more than Thomas Edison.
ryuclan
Edison: “Genius is 1 percent inspiration, 2 percent perspiration, and 97 percent Nikola Tesla.” Tesla: “The future will show whether my foresight is as accurate now as it has proved heretofore.” Hmmm... ironic, isn't it? That looks about right.
ghost of delete key
I am actually very pleasantly surprised that so many Americans respect Tesla more than Thomas Edison. He was, after all, an American... “...the papers, which thirty years ago conferred upon me the honor of American citizenship, are always kept in a safe, while my orders, diplomas, degrees, gold medals and other distinctions are packed away in old trunks.” - Nikola Tesla, “My Inventions V – The Magnifying Transmitter” (Electrical Experimenter, June, 1919) (a great article by the way... clicky!)
