As far as I can remember, Eddie Low in IV states how he killed him and her, goes into detail, as for me, I don't see the urgency of having the option to actually kill kids.

Having children appearing in a game definitely makes it feel more vivid, the degree of realism rises. But GTA has always been a complete open world game, meaning, every human being in the streets could get killed by the player.

 

So either R* will make kids appear only in cutscenes or they won't be killable/mission will fail when you hurt them.

 

As for the sick people demanding to have children appear in the game and actually being able to kill them: it won't happen.

The protagonist will rather be a DOG.

Now in these video games everything is fiction, but we see the realistic approach with games. They try to give us a realistic setting.

 

So, in reality itself, do you also see it that way? Having a 12 year old kid who tries to offend you in some way, does it affect you the same way when a 30 year old does it? Just asking.

 

But riding with your logic, yes, blowing off plenty of heads belonging to 20+ year olds isn't any better.

games are there to fulfil the desires of what you cant do in real life . I dont mind it, its unnecessary for GTA. But if the storyline demands it, then ofc kids would be necessary. Killing adults is quite different than killing kids. Yes, at the end of the day, muder is murder, but killing kids is a much worse crime, which is reflected with the tougher punishments handed out to child murderers/rapists.

 

Saying all that, it still beggers belief how some of you could happily slaughter a representation of a child in a game. Maybe when you have kids you'll think differently. I hope anyway, otherwise I suggest you pay the doctor a visit.
