OBVIOUSLY THEY'RE GOING TO SAY "WE HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW", WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO SAY "WE HAVE A BUNCH OF NEW sh*t TO SHOW YOU GUYS BUT WE'RE GOING TO WAIT ANOTHER YEAR TO SHOW YOU". ITS ALL APART OF THEIR STRATEGY. THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS GAME FOR YEARS, THEY DEFINATELY HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW US, ACTAULLY A LOT TO SHOW US.

What are you talking about? For one, if you think that trailer was "incomplete as f*ck" then you're hoping for a game R* wont provide. And what buildings and landmarks didn't have textures? Did you even watch the trailer? They wouldn't even release a trailer if it was as bad as you described it.

Did YOU even watch the trailer?

There, at 3:23 you can see it, everything in this scene is a full piece of blank sh*t.

That's a bad joke. It looks completed to me.

Jesus! Can somebody show me these f*cking "incompleted scenes"? People often say that this scene looks incompleted:

That doesn't mean sh*t. If you look at the background you can see there is a building behind the fog. I made a red line for the people who still can't see it.

That this scene looks incompleted is a delusion caused from the strong fog and the stong blur effect.

They recently lost their head of marketing, so im guessing they havent hired a new one yet,

or they have and that person is just getting their strategy together, the game is finished, guarranteed.

Well whoever they are now, they better get their ass back in the game and make themselves useful. The marketing is f*cking pathetic at the moment. Even a 12 year old on twitter can do a better job.

Done a bit of digging...

That would be this man:

Cody Corona- R* new head marketer

He has been there 5 months!! biggrin.gif

Three years of total work experience? Maybe he is 12 years old. smile.gif The title "Marketing Coordinator" does not sound like the title of big shot "Director of Marketing" or whatever the title was of the guy who got fired.

I completly agree that the GTAV marketing is pathetic, in context of the incredibly strong start that was implied by the November 2011 GTAV Trailer. And what is even more troubling is that the marketing quality trend is strongly downward, going from mind-blowing Trailer to 2 random screenshots to nonsense tweets in a period of 9 months. I am wondering (sadly) how much lower it can go. Perhaps we will find out.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that perhaps R* are doing the epsilon Twitter thing to remarket San Andreas? You know, there might be a HD re-release soon. And I just cant get myself to associate GTA V with that account, it ain't right

A San Andreas HD release hasn't been announced. Why would they be marketing a game that hasn't been announced. That makes no sense.

You can't associate EpsilonismToday with V? but you can with San Andreas? Both games are set in San Andreas...

This should explain all you need to know:

A Graduate Guide to becoming a Marketing Co-ordinator

A Marketing Co-ordinator promotes a business, its company name, products and services. The role can include advertising, writing promotional literature, market research, dealing with press interest, along with planning future marketing strategies for new product launches or special events. Marketing encompasses a wide variety of tasks and involves dealing with numerous people but can involve long hours and a busy lifestyle.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that TakeTwo adjusted their earnings estimates to allow for a GTA V release next fiscal year. They would still be questioned as to why their expectations were record-breaking for these first 2 quarters. The only way to adequately explain this is a delay.

Basically, on two different occasions since the trailer, TTWO has promised GTA V this year. Changing their estimates would mean that they were wrong about what they expected up until July 31st.

Before GTA IV was delayed Rockstar announced a game with the name Agent. The game was developed by Rockstar North. That was in 2007 and in 2009 they gave us first info and a release date for October 2009 was announced. But then something went wrong. Either the game is cancelled or it's a PS4 exclusive now. So the earliest possible start of V's developement in my opinion was fall 2009/very early 2010. I just wanted to make this clear. tounge.gif Anyway for the people who said GTA V trailer looked like incompleted: Please show me some incompleted scenes. bored.gif The trailer is the evidence that GTA V isn't far away. That was 9 months ago so we can say that GTA V is in one of the very latest development stages. Unless there are some heavy developement problems which I doubt because Rockstar already made GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption which were big open-world games.

I can prove that the trailer is incomplete. Look at the scene with the balcony guy driving the black "Audi R8". Just when it ends and you see the back of the car, see that there are no buildings there. It's like they made some certain areas first just for the trailer.

They didn't say they have nothing to show right now. They said they have not been in a position to show anything and won't be for a while yet.

Why aren't they in a position to show anything? Max Payne 3. Once the last DLC is released for it, we'll see the focus shift to GTA V.

I couldn't say this often enough: Red Dead Redemption was released in May 2010. The game had 4 DLCs. The last DLC was released in September 2011. L.A. Noire was released in May 2011 so 4 months before the last RDR DLC which means they can promote Max Payne 3 DLCs and GTA V at the same time. The first trailer was released as a tease, it injected activity into Take2's shares when they were dropping at very quick rates.

The game could be complete, but you can be sure its not early development as T2 would be in deep sh*t with their shareholders.

You misunderstand me. I don't mean we won't hear anything at all regarding GTA V prior to all DLC releasing, I'm just saying the focus (Rockstar making it their main priority) won't happen until all Max Payne 3 content is out of the way.

Trust me, we won't start hearing a lot about GTA V until the last content for MP3 releases in October. (presumably late in that month) Until then, I wouldn't expect much.

The trailer was all pre-rendered, none of it was in game footage. Thats proof enough that GTA V is not in it's final stages.

look at the texture of the road, that is incomplete, only half the textures are there. the road doesn't match up at all.

also, in a few scenes from the trailer you'll notice a few pedestrians are frozen in place.

Lol, what? The trailer isn't pre-rendered. Rockstar even said it often enough that their trailers are always ingame-footage.

Yeah, that's right but that doesn't mean anything because the first thing that Rockstar make in their games is the map but just gross. So textures can change completely during the development.

I believe that rockstar is actually in the final stages and they have much to show for it, but they're staying hushed because of a new policy.

One of the Housers stated that they only want to show 100% accurate info, instead of starting a marketing campaign and then it being delayed like almost every game they've recently made. I believe they're at the point where they can still encounter a problem that would cause delay. When they are 100% sure that the game will come in the release window they will start the marketing; this re-enforces the theory of a short and sweet marketing campaign, because if they complete the game and start the marketing what are they going to do? Hold back a completed game for 6 months? I beleive the marketing campaign will start slow and vague, them grow exponentially to the point where television will start to air adverts, etc.

To confirm this, Rockstar directly stated in an asked and awnsered comments section that the GTA V trailer was entirely made of on game footage.

What if the game is nowhere near completion and definitely far away from launch? The trailer may look complete but there's always the possibility that the game is so vast that they've only shown us what looks remotely presentable. What if they aren't giving us platforms, plot details or protagonists because the stage of development they're at,any of those can change? Perhaps we need to believe R* when they say that "we have nothing to show right now"? By this point I don't think V will come out before June '13 (FY14). T2 Will simply adjust their Earnings estimate to account for this.

I HOPE I'M WRONG THOUGH!

I hope they will still be working on the game, just look at how much Iv evolved, i dont want to pass through that again, but as i've concluded on my post, theres no reason to thik that the game will be released this year or later than July 2013

Whoever wrote this garbage, are you dense? I-I...? I can't seem to come up with the words to describe how dumb your comment is, but I will say this. The day the screens released, some guy was saying make another trailer, but don't make it pre rendered like the first trailer, then R*Q or Y or K said the trailer was not pre-rendered, it's comprised of actual ingame footage.

You're just an idiot. bored.gif
