No part of the trailer has gameplay, its all cut scenes. There are so many aspects to building a game that no one seems to realise. When rockstar said its going to be a while then people should take it for what it is. Play GTA4 again if you can't wait. Do something to occupy your time. It's been almost a year, I'm sure another year won't kill any of you. Rockstar actually confirmed that the trailer was ENTIRELY gameplay. Sorry. If this is true then post a link to the official rockstar statement. I never heard of this confirmation you are talking of. Just watching the trailer you can tell its compiled completely of cut scenes. So you can provide proof if you'd like, until then I will stick with what I said originally. There surely must be hundreds of possible screens that they could throw out there, without any spoilers etc. I dont have a particular theory on why theyre acting like this. Its a bit bizarre. It's not bizarre, it's just different to how the rest of the industry does things. I'm sick of having half a game/movie spoiled for me before I've even had a chance to play/watch it. If you really think about it, wouldn't you enjoy the game more if almost everything you discovered in the game was a surprise? I remember when I found the parachute at the top of Mt. Chiliad for the first time, I was buzzing with glee & proceeded to drive my bike of the viewing platform, dismounting in mid air & gliding safely to the ground for the first time in GTA. I'm pretty sure R* didn't release info about the parachute, at least not in any of the magazine articles I read. I just want to start GTA V with virgin eyes. Try to recreate some of the wonder & discovery I experienced back in 2004, even if I am a little more cynical these days. I'd be happy with another 10 screenshots & one more spoiler-free trailer. In this scene it looks like R* made the background not visible, because its not done maybe, because the fog is clearly too much. And here it looks a but empty in the background. I mean on the right. Smoke and mirrors... Screenshots seem a lot more realistic. The game was not as far along as they wanted us to think when the trailer was released. However I am still expecting a late 2012, early 2013 release, which is I know unlikely but until R* tells us a release date anything is possible.
