They shouldn't be visible on the map. That way it will be way more exciting and harder to get out. You would have to focus on the sounds and other stuff.

...not only it'd make things intuitive, but also it'd help to concentrate yourself onto actually avoiding police, instead of wasting your time checking radar every bit of a second don't you agree?...

They should be marked on the radar like in GTA IV. If you gain a wanted level, the police cars/helicopters/police on foot become visible on radar. Other than that, they're not visible.

^ This. There's no need to change it IMO.

Instead of visual cues, why not audible? Cops wouldn't show up on the radar, but if they are around you, (maybe half or a whole block), you could pick up on bits of police radio chatter.

Allow us to buy police scanners for each individual car.

Doesn't solve being on foot /in a stolen car.

I don't really care. I'm hoping they fix it so police don't spawn right next to you when trying to get away.

Plus.

Maybe we're on to something...

I said the police scanner thing, because it means that locating police becomes a luxury rather than something we take for granted.

If it were a handheld police scanner it should be something expensive too, so that again, locating police is a luxury, not a given.

There should be options instead of one choice. I vote for the option to turn it off or on.

Not another option for GTA. Literally every suggestion or idea ends up with people saying "Maybe there could be an option to turn it on or off." The game needs to be made the way it will be made, no options to turn every little detail on or off.

It should be similar to GTA 4, you can't see them on the map, but it would be cool to possibly buy as an upgrade for your car through customization, a radar detector, showing cop cars within a small range around you. And if you get into a police car, all cops on the map should be visible, but a dull color to show that they are not active and after you.

What the f*ck are you talking about? There's already an option to turn the HUD off and on so why would they take that out? Besides what kind of moron wouldn't want options in the game?

That's not the point. EVERY suggestion made in this community that people can't agree on decisively ends up with people saying, "maybe it could be an option you can turn on and off." I was talking nothing about the HUD, if you would have actually read what I was talking about instead of trying to argue you would have seen that. I can see turning the HUD on and off. But what I was talking about were the smaller details being unnecessary options within the game that would just clutter the options menu for unimportant things. GTA 5 is not a "Create your own sandbox game with every minute option possible at your disposal that you can change if you don't like it". Rockstar is making the game how they want to, and it will be amazing.

I don't think everything should be made an option. I would rather have this, Auto/ Manuel Aim, Subtitles, Brightness, Audio (etc) as options. This is my opinion. Maybe you need a break from the forums, because I never seen anyone suggesting making ever single thing an option.
