DestaliusDark
I was wondering if anyone here played them. I know many people played Generals and look at it saying it's the best in the series I think it's one of the worst together with C&C 4. I loved Tiberian sun and Red Alert 2. IMO C&C 3 wasn't that bad, and Red alert 3, was ok. (Except that EA used whores to get more people to buy it) I still play Red Alert 2, (You can Via gameranger or XWIS, i like gameranger more though ) Well yeah, if there is anyone here who would liek to play C&C with me, just PM me. (I also now some nice tactics for online gameplay )
Johnny_Cash1983
Those games where the best i still play Red Alert 2. f*ck EA for ruining Generals 2.
kid23455
Dude, what are you talking about? C&C3 was great. Hell, I still play it today. C&C4, LOL YOU'RE INTERNET ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH YOU DON'T GET TO PLAY. And how they handle "base building" now. Ugh.
DestaliusDark
C&C 4 was bad, in its whole. Not only was the single player gameplay extremely bad, but so was online gameplay. My internet is good enough for C&C 4, i can play it perfectly. EA f*cked up the online system. So look, you start out and the first thing you do is Online playing First thing you notice is that your opponent has better units. = doesnt make sense. Srsly, so i need to play the SP more to get better units so i can keep up with the online gameplay?Bullsh*t! Players should be able to just get into online mode and play without needing to face players who have like 5x better units then you. In a nutshell, C&C 4 is a disaster Base building is gone Oh wait lets replace Tibirum fields with, a floating crystal. YEAH! Players will love this! If you like C&C 4 you must have never played the old C&C games. Or your taste in games sucks. Srsly play some Tiberian sun, 10x better. Don't bitch about the graphics, because gameplay tops it. C&C 3 could be aswell called Battle for middle earth with NEW UNITS AND GUNS (And some futuristic sh*t) EA used the same engine and UI for many RTS games they made, and C&C 3 is one of them. Yeah, sure they invest a lot of money it it etc. and it follows the good original storyline. But meh, it was like they took a step back. In tiberian sun, nod dint use these militants (Guys in sweaters with a gun ) They sued futuristic soldiers. Also what happend to all the, other units? Everything went back to Tiberian Dawn. I don't think C&C 3 is a great game, i like it. But it gets boring pretty quick C&C 3 also had bad base building. What happened to the walls and gates? Everyone loved those, Walls where a great defense against tanks and many other stuff. So many things left out... kid23455
1 word for C&C3, MODS. Walls, wall turrets, and not so hateful building placement. I kinda liked how buildings were built in C&C3 anyways, it was pretty streamlined, but it worked really well. Also, I thought C&C3 was a lot more modern and NOT futuristic in unit design. Tanks, VTOLs, hell, they had plain old NUKES in it.

This game I've been waiting 8 years for, and now, I don't really care about it anymore. Formerly known as The General
nightwalker83
I play C&C! I haven't played generals and I don't like the base setup in 4.
Chukkles
I own Red Alert 3. I mainly played SP, I completed Allies and soviets but got stuck on Empire of rising sun levels. I'm pretty terrrible when it comes to Skirmish and even worse in online skirmish.

nightwalker83
I don't like the base setup in 4. What base setup? You still get construction vehicles! However, you can only build 1 out of the 3 options, deference, attack, etc at a time. Although, I think there may have been one or two missions were you could control more than one base type at a time.

DestaliusDark
Supreme commander. Well, it's like god pointed his finger at TA and said, "RISE GOD OF RTS" Supreme commander is a very good RTS series, everything about it is just great. Amazing Graphics for a 2006 game, and amazing gameplay with many tactics and more. And lots and lots more.
GTA_stu
Not a massive fan but I've played them a bit. I bought C&C and Red Alert PS classics on PS store and really like them. I bought Red Alert 3 as well and played the online for that a hell of a lot, it was really addictive. I tried the beta for I think it was C&C4 after a friend pressured me into it. I hated it, no base building you just had some crappy walking thing.
xI Jakk Ix
Looks like I'm not the only one who thought 'oh f*ck this' when I saw that Generals 2 was free to play. EA are obviously going to milk the sh*t out of this and make people pay for units, structures and support powers. I enjoy a bit of C&C 3, however, I'm on Xbox, so the frame rate tanks when you're having quite a bit of fun, especially on Kanes Wrath.
lumpy.flippy
The old school Redwood Studios C&C and Red Alert were really something back in the day. The missions were well done and the story line while somewhat fantastical was quite believable especially the fact they had excellent cut scenes. RA2 was still a good game seemed like a good installment for the series even though it started to become a bit cheesy with the cut scenes but it was a fun game, again the story was well done and the mission were varied and long. Generals seems somewhat the odd one out in the C&C title, it just doesn't really fit into the whole C&C universe in terms of its story. But it was a good game. The best soundtrack though still goes to Red Alert, I still get that urge to pace around the room when I hear Hell's March.

Yeah when you start to destroy the other bases Hell march starts and it gets very intense.

I have to agree with the fact that RA2 was a bit cheesy, though the original RA2 had a amazing soundtrack. The expansion Yuri's Revenge had only 7 themes, and its kinda annoying to hear them the whole time. I wish Westwood just placed the OST from RA2 in Yuri Revenge + new music. The cut scenes and story where always awesome, i loved the fact that they used real actors and cool effects so it looked kinda real. Yuri's actor (Udo Kier) was awesome and i don't think il ever forget him. Joe [Actor of Kane] also did a great job in the C&C Tibirium saga. So the actors and everything else was amazing, though the acting in Tiberian sun was very, B movie like, and i love it xD A thing that was sad was the fact that the skirmish AI never was too good. Because of the fact that Tiberian sun was rushed the AI in skirmish never got fully finished and it kinda sucks. They attack extremly fast and there is no way for a beginner to play on tech 10 in skirmish without getting killed, and when you played team matches it always was FFA and the enemy always first had to kill eachother and at the end attack you. The fixd a lot of this in RA2 and later C&C games, though RA2's AI is still kinda dumb in many ways, easy attack patterns and bad defenses. It easy to play 1v7 Brutal because after a while you will notice how the enemy attacks you. Mods for RA2 fix this, but they tend to make the AI pretty f*cking hard ;P Oh well, becaus of EA westwood never really finished games they wanted to, Tiberian sun still had a big amount of stuff they wanted to add And same with Red Alert 2. It din't really get rushed, but Westwood still had more plans for it.
xI Jakk Ix
I've always wondered why people who like C&C kept talking about this Hell March soundtrack as if it's the best music ever. I've just been on YouTube to listen to it and now I completely understand why you would think that, because it is.
