ryaofalderney
When Rockstar said :"Re-Imagined Southern California", what did they mean? San Fierro is out of the question. But San Diego and even Las Venturas aren't for me. Do you agree? What Else could be Featured?

cp1dell
Las Venturas was based off of Las Vegas, Nevada. That isn't part of SoCa. It means exactly what it means, it's not that hard to understand unless you have no reading comprehension whatsoever. We'll see Rockstar's version of L.A, possibly San Diego and other SoCa cities maybe, plus countryside. Reimagined is what they do with every game, they heavily base the map off the real-world city - they stepped this up with GTA IV.
Iroquois
There's been a couple topics on this already; but i dont see any stickied i guess, so.... They said re-imagined southern california....not Re-imagined SA but Cali instead. By saying Cali instead of SA, you can tell its going to be different from SA's map. However, i have never heard Rockstar use the actual states name in any GTA games to describe the game. The closest they ever got was "a model of" [insert state here]. They only showed Los santos; but i guess we can expect more cities. Realistically if V were to be only 1 major city surrounded by mountains, ocean, etc... they would of said Los Santos instead of Cali. Note: From we have seen, V is the most life like version of state, right down to a buildings location. I think they basically put the map of southern cali into V. And I think they specifically mentioned SOUTHERN-California to indicate that San Fierro and Las Venturas won't be there and it's only Los Santos and surrounding areas. KrushLTx10
When people hear SoCal they primarily think of LA, San Diego and Anaheim and a couple other towns, but since I live in California SoCal actually extends all the way up to Monterey. Just look at all the things R* can possibly do with that statement of Southern California, Los Angeles is confirmed with Los Santos. I'm hoping R* gets cities all the way up to Monterey, but that's unlikely. Who knows though? Maybe they'll whip out the biggest map known to date... samyG
When they say a "re-imagined southern California" they don't necessarily mean an making an entire re-creation of Southern California. It's a figure of speech so to speak. It's recreation of the city of Los Angeles and most importantly, LA County. I don't see us seeing a San Diego but MAYBE an Anaheim, so we can get Disneyland. I'd love Anaheim, and hopefully Pasadena, just so i can see if i can recognize anything from The Big Bang Theory.
