When Grand Theft Auto V is released, will you skip school/work? I am. Although, my parents always let me stay home when a game comes out unless I have any missing assignments. So until it comes out and I am going to get everything in! After that I will return to my procrastinating self. biggrin.gif

Man I really just wanna stop all life and really immerse myself in it, but I'll have school and that's more important. I fear if I start to play gta V i'll fail and there goes my future.

No, I'll just have to focus, a hard thing to do when you're excited, when I have the game at home and I'm at school.

It really depends on how good it is.

I'll probably pick it up after the reviews come out, and if I really like it I'll stay up all night and say f*ck school.

The day GTA V comes out I will be sick at home with the flu. And the day after. And the day after.

What!? Your parents allow that?

I, myself, would never even consider skipping school for a game (even as huge as V), education is important.

I see absolutely nothing wrong in skipping school/work to play all day on the day of release.

One day wont effect your "future"

On the basis that if it comes out this year (which I am still hoping for, no matter how hopeless it is lol) there is a good chance I might still be unemployed I just nulled my vote haha.

Nope... the wonders of being self-employed. I could work extra hard one month so I can take the next one off and play the hell out of V... mowhaha. Not that i'll do that tho. I like working, my social life consists mainly of people that don't game and really don't give a sh*t about GTA and I wanna see them and i'm not in a rush to complete V. But yeah there's gonna be at least three to four days of intense smoking, pizza munching and V'ing.

Assuming it comes out on Tuesday of course I will. I am going to go to the midnight launch and then not go to work Tuesday. Did I mention that Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday are my days off?

Why would you skip school for a game? There are a lot of reasons to skip school, but staying home to play a video game isn't one of them.

No I will not mess up My education just for a video game I could play any time.

By the time it comes out, we will all probably be out of secondary school and college.

I might depending on whether or not the lecture that day is something I can afford to miss and there's nothing important like an exam. If there is, then no way in hell am I skipping university for this. I always have Thursdays off anyways with my new schedule this year so if anything, I'll just have that day off and skip my elective on the Friday since it's always BS powerpoint that is uploaded by the prof. I've always been quick at catching up if I miss something that's just notes, so it's not a problem for me.

If it releases in late April-May or December (lol) then I don't give a f*ck because I have no university then and I doubt I'll have my job at that point in time due to stuff that'll be going down.

I think it's okay to take one day off just for yourself. Not like I'll be taking an entire week off. The school will go on without me for one day. The world will, too.

Of course not. I'm amazed at how many people would put a video game above school or work.

I will. Dude for one day why not?? 1 Day of missing school won't hurt you. One day of missing work won't hurt you. You work everyday for 50 years of your life. Once in awhile you should have sometime off.

Lol missing one day of school if there's nothing major going on like a test or project won't ruin your future.

I got through high school just fine missing a day here and there and am now studying law. I skipped one day for the release of Skyrim last November, and I did just fine. I'm still in university and I haven't failed out from skipping one day of sitting and listening to a 3 hour lecture, the notes of which I can get off someone else or I can simply read the textbooks and learn it myself.

I wouldn't skip work for GTAV, but normally I would skip class. Howeve seeing as I am carrying a 16 credit hour semester and have 8 hour school days I probably couldn't afford to.....but we'll see wink.gif

Man, I'm not sure lol I'll decide that on the weeks prior to release. I totally would unless I have something important, though.
