Hidden Los Santos image in MP3

I don't see how Rockstar releasing hardly any info on a game can raise expectations to unattainable levels, if anything it should do the opposite. Kind of like the opposite of Peter Molyneux & quite frankly it's refreshing. I mean, we're not talking about Half Life 2 Ep. 3 here. We know it is coming in the near future.

 

Don't you want to play a GTA game, a huge intricately designed game, without knowing anything about it? Remember when you first played a 3D GTA game, well that's the closest you're going to get to recreating that feeling.

I feel all we really need is a basic outline of the plot give in a magazine interview or on the Newswire , maybe some more screenshots, and two more trailers. I really don't want to see much more than that.

the silver one is based on 2003 hyundai tiburon. looks like this will be one of the cars in V

Nah looks more like an Aston Martin DB9... that's why I got confused with the V8 Vantage clone.

When i think about it, it does resembles a db9, though the front still looks like a tiburon to me

Good Find, OP. A lot of posters say this is useless bullsh*t. Why is it useless? Just because it's nothing new it's bullsh*t? That's one of the problems with this forum now, people are always  expecting something new. He never said the images were new. Nothing wrong with pointing out that possible images were found in MP3. I did not hang around. I looked at the thread to see if it was something interesting and it clearly is not. I'm sorry to say, but it is useless bullsh*t to the fullest. All the images are telling me is that some buildings seen in Max Payne 3 are similar to those seen in a GTA V screen shot - that is all it is. Tell me why the f**k I should get excited about that ??

 

Right let me break it down to you like this. Did the OP bring me some interesting and credible info about the protagonist(s) or the storyline/plot ? Or images of the actual V map ? More real, newer V screenshots ? A definite release date ? An official soundtrack listing at least ? The answer is NO to all of these things - and these are the ONLY things that would really catch my interest and attention regarding any V info being brought to the table.

First of all, my post wasn't just aimed at you. Second, my point was, it may be bullsh*t to you but it's not bullsh*t to everybody else. Your one of the ones that's waiting for something new, nothing wrong with that, but last time I checked, this is not a official news site. This is a forum where we discuss things. Nobody said for you to get excited. As far as the OP's post not telling you anything about the story,map,protagonist, or release date, that can be said about damn near every thread.

the picture is somewhat interesting in that it proves Los Santos was well-developed by the time that particular texture was put into Max Payne 3.

 

And it's not only "similar," it's the exact same scene... take a close look and you'll see that shot must've been taken in GTA V.

The pic you found, is the same as the heli pic, except we can see further to the left in the MP3 one and less to the right.

 

This pretty much proves that the V pics were old (Because they were in MP3 during its development). So since those 2 screens were old, and you can see the city looks like it has plenty of progression, maybe that means V is in its final development phase!?

It doesn't prove anything. The Los Santos downtown skyline existed in the trailer last November and Max Payne 3 came out 6 months later. The exterior map is the first thing done in a GTA game. Those buildings may have existed for over a year for all we know.

Sounds a little bit interesting, but it's still all just about little clues here and there. The bottom line is that we don't know what these images really mean and all this is still meaningless to me. Agreed, With actual proof they used the textures/models or whatever from GTA V it gives us an idea of how long they have been working on V for roughly. If they have used them in these Ads in max payne 3 they can't be too far off finishing up GTA V

i was scrolling the ads skipping each picture trying to find the one with LS, i ddint even notice that it was right in the 1st picture, great job, funny enough is that LC is probably on that one with the girl with the bag and perhaps RDR, that catch was remarkable. This is what they want, detailed smart jokes with every game they make. Today i was just re playing San Andreas storyline, im at the part when you help Catalina to steal an gas truck, when i suddenly read "MAX PANE" on the bullet proof glass at the gas station. For those who don't speak the english language as well the window had "PANE" written because bullet proof windows are made of panes several sheets of glass.

Hm,so we have a pic from L.s,one from L.c and one from RDR but the one with the Beau eyewear (pic 12) is the one that I find intriguing.

From what I can see the girl is standing in front of either a car dealership,a showroom or a mall and the reflection in the window is the landscape opposite of it.Any ideas guys?

 

Edit:The Loki3000 looks like the kind of smartphone we'll be seeing in GTA V (probably a cheaper alternative to the iFruit).

If we hadn't seen the trailer or the pics we wouldn't have know about this now.It raises the possibility of finding knew things altogether that we've overlooked because we never knew they could be from V (like the Loki,the Beau eyewear ad etc).

 

Also,it gives us a sense of how far R* was into development at the time MP3 came out.

Not much, just another possible V reference in MP3.

 

And to be honest: I just don't see it. IMHO we see too little of the buildings to be able to really identify them, and again, IMHO, this could very well be from IV too.

 

But maybe it's from V... either way, as I said, it's pretty hard to get excited about a really low quality image that might show the lower half of some buildings we've already seen in full.

 

Either way, nice find nevertheless.

um Kifflom does have a point, he was just a little harsh about it. If you don't like a particular topic and are going to go into it just to bash the topic itself there is no point in doing it.
