Um no offense but thats pretty ignorant to everyone who voted "yes". You don't know how GTAV will fair with any other GTAs to release in the future, yet you already conclude that GTAV will be the best GTA ever. Thats kind of... idiotic.

 

I voted no, because I believe that the last GTA ever made will be the best GTA ever, since they will have the technology to develope a colossal map, with photorealistic graphics and a plethora of gameplay features.

There is NO REASON why it's shouldn't be the best GTA yet. They've had almost 5 YEARS of community feedback on IV and what it lacked. They were headed in the right direction with TBOGT, but the story left something to be desired.

You can't vote after seeing less than 2 minutes worth of trailer, 2 screen shots and a few confirmed tidbits. If it's a suped up San An with the fun brought back, then yes it may well be, if it is gritty, depressing and "more realistic", then it will be an insult to San An.

I have a feeling that despite GTA V inevitably having more features I'm still going to regard GTA IV more. IMO R* are going to have a hard time topping Niko.

 

My main fears for GTA V are if R* have lost their tight focus from GTA IV and have buckled to the SA/SR bunch, but understandably that's what people want.

Even though everyone got their own favourite GTA, to me it was IV which stands out in story, degree of realism and detail.

 

Many people who admire SA or Vice were disappointed with IV for leaving out certain things.

GTA V doesn't have to be some over-the-top-GTA with missiles, jetpacks, tanks, etc.

 

I like good old police/car chases, like shown in the trailer, it can have a noir feeling like in the movie DRIVE.

 

Since IV missed previous features and people weren't satisfied with IV's features (annoyed by friends, lack of clothes and buyable real estate, moral choices and Kate), their voices got louder demanding GTA V shall bring back Vice's and SA's features.

 

However it will turn out, I got faith in GTA V becoming the best GTA so far.

...after disappointement, which's GTAIV i doubt it...not for me at least...it will take a lot of stuff to return from San Andreas in order to change my opinion...and OMG this message above mine haha didn't read this, when i was writing my comment ^^^

Have no fear. Rockstar knows what they're doing. They have produced some of the highest quality games on any platform this gen, with GTA IV standing out as their greatest masterpiece to date, and Red Dead Redemption not far behind.

"Rockstar knows what they're doing" - now this statement has been overused like 1000th times already...everyone is like "Oh R* knows what they're doing" but everytime when they do something wrong you the same people say "Oh i'm so disappointmed, that not what i expected" and don't tell me it isn't truth!...

I would say the developement began in 2010. Why? Rockstar North is the developer of Grand Theft Auto. In 2007, short before GTA IV was delayed, Rockstar announced Agent. In 2009 first info about Agent were released and the release of the game was supposed to be fall 2009 but we never heard anything about Agent again. Agent was developed by Rockstar North. So Rockstar North just couldn't have start the developement of GTA V sooner than late 2009 and even that'd be too soon in my opinion. The first thing that'll be done for a game is the map and before that they have to make pictures from the cities. You have to remember that Rockstar made 100 000 pictures from New York to make GTA IV's Liberty City. GTA V is most likely as detailed as GTA IV if not even more detailed AND the map will be bigger at the same time but we don't know how big exactly. We don't know WHEN Rockstar had cancelled Agent or at least delayed to the PS4. I would say the developement of GTA V began in early 2010.

this , im just afraid that GTA V would end up like Saints Row in terms of features, i mean come on, in saints row the third there's a car that can suck people and shoot them out ? what the hell is that
