MIKON8ERISBACK
I don't think so. Grand Theft Auto is a pretty high priority, not like their less popular linear shoot-em-up games. They know that they'd be in for a sh*tstorm if a Grand Theft Auto game's development were to be "suspended indefinitely".
Perrinzki
No way man.The information drought is intentional. GTA is popular and its release is already grounded. Agent is a completely new IP so there's no need to hurry. Yes I know that. But Max Payne was not a new IP and was originally scheduled for release in late 2009. The game was already finished on that year but end up being released this 2012. I know R* not rushing they're games. Dude, do you really think just because Max Payne 3 was scheduled for 2009 and got delays, it was already finished? So you're saying they did nothing but wait for 3 damn years to release a finished game? Come on!

Kill Frenzy!
f*ck sake, stop worrying! GTA WILL BE RELEASED!!! I know it's been a long wait but if you knew Rockstar then you'd know this is normal for them! In fact they even said it themselves on the newswire during the Q&A. This is normal. Agent is a brand new IP. They probably wanted to try something new and decided they no longer wanted to go ahead with it. GTA is Rockstars biggest game. They kinda NEED to release it. Max Payne 3/LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption TOGETHER couldn't make up what GTA is worth. If they don't release GTA V then they might as well just slit their throats. They'd be nothing without GTA and they know that. They are trying to put out games that can help them keep standing if GTA ever disappears for whatever reason. You can´t compare Red Dead Redemption with L.A. Noire and Max Payne. The Red Dead series and GTA series is Rockstar´s biggest projects

Yeah just like Carl CJ Johnsons Brother Brian said it was originally finished but R* wasn't satisfied with the design and the story so they make everything new. gta_fan28
Are you seriously suggesting that GTA V could become vaporware? Stop, and think about this for a minute. You should eventually realize just how stupid (and improbable) what you're suggesting is. Hey.. I'm not suggesting that GTAV to be Vaporware I'm just saying that this lack of news and info the game might end up like Agent. I know Agent is a new IP and R* is experimenting it until they satisfied. Max Payne 3 supposed to be released on 2009 but end up this 2012 cause R* was not satisfied on story and the game itself. That's what meant and what I'm trying to say. Hope u all understand that. Ofcourse I don't want in GTAV to be like that.
Andreas
The difference between Grand Theft Auto and Agent is that Rockstar knows exactly plans for their GTA games. So they try to make huge important updates from the past sequels. Agent is a completely new game. There is not a past sequel of Agent, it's a little bit risky and the probability of a delay is high. If GTA V is/will be delayed isn't sure because either we won't know it because the game is still in this fiscal year which ends on March 31st and the delay is before the release date/window announcement or we know it because 1) TakeTwo decrease the predictions drastically between now and January 2013 (last finance conference within this fiscal year) and 2) the game will be released after March 31st 2013. It's hard to tell but we'll see it. Finn 7 five 11
GTA V will not be cancelled or anything like that. They haven't started there full Marketing yet that is why we have not much information. Not only that but R* want it this way. I wouldn't worry about that. Yeah I know they're taking their time to make this game great and better. Max Payne 3 they're also take years to make that but it wasn't that successful and only sell 350,000 copies despite they shipped a 3 million copies of it.. Sold more than 2million dude. GTA is nothing like Agent, we don't even know if development on Agent is still going, GTA we know is coming, forecasted profits, it's listed on the games coming out by T2. Don't be silly, GTA V is not permanently on hold

Triple Vacuum Seal
Call me crazy, but I'm skeptical about the demand for a game like Agent from what I've hear of the premise. R* doesn't make terrible games and we don't know much about it yet so I'm not worried. I just think that R* would make barrels of money if they launched a new title in a different genre and Agent looks like it would be LA Noire mixed with Splinter Cell . Since this game had been announced by Sony on E32007 I'm very excited that we will see a new game by R* North. And it's also the reason why bought a PS3. But since then I never heard any news about this game. All we have was a leaked screenshot.

So what if GTAV end up like that? Share thoughts... Actually, Agent wasn't announced at E3 in 2007. An unconfirmed title was confirmed back in 2007 but was announced during as Agent during the Sony conference by R*. But anyways, No. GTA V will not become like Agent. Just because the game has a huge following and is a big earner for R* and unlike Agent (which was announced over 3 years ago), actually has a trailer which was released a week after it was announced on Rockstar's site. Talking about Agent tho, I emailed R* back in April asking about it and the bloke who answered my question said he would try and find some information (nothing major - just a yes or a no if it's a cancelled project) and would get back to me... but never did Edited August 12, 2012 by Alpha55

Saying that they weren't satisfied with what they had done back in 2009 is way different to say it was already finished. Even if they had a finished Max Payne 3 back in 2009, I don't they would realize it's not good enough to be released when they already finished the development, I think they realized that way earlier, when the game was still in development. Remember that Max Payne 3 logo that R* released in 2009? It had almost the same concept-art-Max that we see in the final version in one of the chapters of the story. Not only that but R* want it this way. I wouldn't worry about that. Not to mention all of the attention it's already gotten with so little info announced. If V was cancelled hardcore, angry, GTA fanboys would hate R* forever, and seeing how that's one of their biggest fan bases, that would be very bad for business. There's a lot of pressure, so it will be coming soon hopefully, but if not soon, then in the near future. GTA_La_Costra_Nostra
In all honesty this will never happen. The reason I say this is because GTA is Rockstar's bread and butter.
