theworldfamous Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 No I want some continuity and a good mix of old and new cars. Like it's shown in the trailer really. It makes sense that a 4, or 10 year old car can still drive around. I'd also love to see more variations of the models themselves, like different wheels, levels of trim, slight changes for older/newer models, estate versions. And also, but this was already in IV to an extent, to have different models for the same brand that, like with real brands, share similarities in their design. I don't see why that should be too difficult to implement and it's a doubled edged sword. It's basically a car customization system like SA already had, but applied randomly across NPC cars. Ash_735 Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 They should focus on new vehicles unique to San Andreas, and THEN at the end, see how much free space they have, and just fill all that with vehicles from GTA IV, after all it's the same era and only a few years apart, so those cars would still be around. Imagine being able to get like, a Banshee from the 80's, as well as a brand new one. With something along side the title of the car to note the era. For example - 1985 Banshee. Of course they should add new cars, but it wouldn't make sense to get rid of all the old ones, it's not like they have completely different cars on the market in LA compared to NY. Magic_Al Posted August 12, 2012 Share Posted August 12, 2012 More variety is more realistic and reusing all the vehicles from GTA IV while making just as many new ones doubles the variety for free. They don't take much disc space compared to other things. The only downside to variety is the fact only a limited number can load in memory at once so certain vehicles become rarer. Having a load of vintage cars parked up obviously wouldn't happen unless there was some sort of convention happening near by at the time or something. But it's a fact, every day you see cars from different decades, It's not like in real life you only see cars made within the last 5 years. Car companies made cars 30+ years ago and continue to do so. I did just remember, GTA has a problem with vehicle pools making it hard to actually bring real variety into traffic, shame.
