Skin selector problem

So i recently installed skin selector on my gta sa. Yes i followed all the steps and i am using cleo 4. But whenever i want to change the skin the game freezes, ive been looking everywhere for a solution but didnt find one. So i tried downloading this modder's (http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-san-andreas/player-mods/4393) skin selector which included two skins, and they actually worked fine withouth crashing. I try adding the skins i downloaded to the skin img file, but again it froze with the skins i added. Can someone help me solve this. Am i using the wrong skins ?? or what?

Skin selector crashes can happen for a few reasons:

 

-Too many skins (having fewer than 100 skins or less than around 150Mb for a skin.img will minimize the likelihood of crashes)

-CLEO_SAVES folder is not cleared, or using a skin_o.sav from a previous skin.img

-If the normalmap plugin is installed, some skins will not work with it

Did u replace gta.dat ? I had this same problem too so I've replaced it and now it works
