Huge stuff thumbs up, will you made also an model ir img converter? From III to LCS/VCS format. Would be helpfull but thats for the future i guess ^^

Unfortunately no progress was made from our side so far. You can follow the others team/people, who was involved in the gta stories modding scene.

I may publush it, with the *.lvz/*.img support, but global texture edition is a bit complicated (anyway, I can also post tutorial).

Is there any news yet for releasing the GTA Stories Texture Explorer (3.0) from Dageron? I cant wait to release the awesome tools soon and so that we can edit the texture of the building and surface too

Hello Dageron, can you fix the mipmap glitch problem because It is very complicated for me or all of us to extract all mipmap in one texture and import it again

How is the progress on GTA Stories Texture Explorer 3.0 from Dageron? Having a great time modding VCS on PSP at the moment, i hope this stories modding scene doesn't fade :)

All of the downloadlinks seem to be down, unfortunately :( . Somebody know where to get this?

If you want LCS textures (Both original PS2 AND Remastered), then just use LCS Mobile (Android) instead, and wait for VCS Mobile if you want those.

Mmm, okay, it's indeed the textures I want. I'm familiar with this tool, but I cannot find a download anywhere.

It's easy, use any decent IMG reader, get the Android or iOS version of LCS, and open GTA3.IMG, as found in...

GTALcs.app\Models

all the textures here are TXD's and can be opened with MagiocTXD, these are the PS2 textures. You don't even have to convert them, just set the game to Vice City or San Andreas via MagicTXD and Direct3D8/9 and they'll work on the PC versions of these games right away!

 

If you want the remastered textures, then use the iOS version (Android version is slightly worse quality compression in this area)and go to...

GTALcs.app\Textures_PVR

Each folder here is essentially an unpacked TXD, inside you'll find the textures in PVR format, these can be used and imported into MagicTXD.

I've read everything you're writing me here and on another websites and i understand it. I'm going to think how to organize releases of all this stuff and about translation of documentation. I can't promise much, but will try to do something someday. No deadlines. Also not sure about releasing it on this forums, maybe somewhere else, we'll see.

Thanks for this tool.  Does anyone know if there is a way to retain the opaque background when exporting textures? Currently if I export the image (BMP for example) it renders the background as black.

are you e-exporting as TGA?
