Kov
Info about disappearing radar icons and garage bugs: After a lot of various tests, it turns out that VCDrawDist.asi is causing the whole problem. It somehow breaks the savegame (maybe because of high values? or too many objects on the scene? - who knows). Deleting this asi will do not fix your current Vice Cry 1.8 savegames - we apologise for that. Other saves (not resaved on Vice Cry 1.8) and "new game" should work properly after deleting VCDrawDist.asi. Again - we apologise for the problem. Silent
Figured it out, with those multipliers game just renders too many objects at once, and overrdes other stuff in the EXE, such as cars saved in a garage I'm gonna work on it a bit and update ViceCry.asi for that. I think VCDrawDist.asi could be deprecated too, as it's not too fortunate. EDIT: And yeah, for now remove VCDrawDist.asi and hopefully it'll be all right. Looking at the amount of grass the mod adds though, it still may bug from time to time. Kov
HOTFIX: Vice Cry HOTFIX increases engine limits. It also repairs object flickering, alpha bugs, garage bugs, radar icon bugs and crashes IN NEW GAME and OLD SAVES (NO RESAVED ON VICE CRY 1.8). Corrupted saves can not be restored. Give props to Silent - he made this. Keith Ward, Rocket350 and Silent

Keith Ward
Hey guys! In celebration of what has to be one of my favourite Vice City mods, I've made a new track for Club Malibu... I've always thought that the old VC Malibu track was a little short and lacked proper depth, so I made a completely new one entirely from 1986 club music (so it fits in with the Vice City vibe/timeline). It's not an official part of the Vice Cry mod, so the moders may choose to delete this post if they think it interferes with their vision, but I just thought it would fit in with the remastered VC that the Vice Cry team have created... http://www.filedropper.com/malibu Just download the file and add it to your VC "Audio" folder and enjoy... Keith Ward
Hey, I've been looking for some of the secrets throughout the map... Can anybody help me out with this? YOEL_44
I really love this mod, but there are a lot of bugs anywhere around the map and in some vehicles, and some asynchronism or incoherences, if you need a tester or a bug hunter I can help you, and I can personally fix some little map, colision and texture bugs (not modeling or scripting, I havent got experience)
DalekCaan
Ok, guys. I'm getting issues in the "Shakedown" mission where you have to shoot the stores at the mall. Whenever I finish it, it crashes when the Malibu Club pops up saying "Unhandled Exception at adress:..." I installed Vice Cry 1.8 and the hotfix before starting the save but this issue keeps plaguing me, doesn't matter whether the game is on running as admnistrator or compatibility mode. I'd be glad if you guys looked into it, since this is the first time I ever got so far into the Vice City storyline. Here's my saves if you need them, and thanks in advance! EDIT: Simple fix, just skip the cutscene. Edited September 2, 2014 by DalekCaan

Kov
Sad to hear, any reason? Modding is fun. It gives you a nice feel that you can actually change something in your own way. It's the best way to learn how games work. But at some point you notice that you are... limited by your own mod. Then you want to create something much bigger than just a mod. And suddenly you realize... you can create something much bigger! I'm working on my own game on CryEngine. A non-Rockstar-game-engine project means I have to leave gtaforums. It was fun. ^^ Thanks to everyone for your help! theNGclan, Jago, johnthedev and 7 others
DalekCaan
It's really sad that the mod's gonna go,and even sadder that you're leaving, Kov. I can only hope your game does well, now! X-Seti
You could gain performance by optimizing the IDE files. You don't need 300+ draw distance around some of the grass areas. When I get some time I'll redo some the Ide files for you. Jago and theNGclan 2 .
65536
I've installed this over my Vice City and I can consider this is probably the best mod for GTA Vice City! I like the HD textures replacements and vegetation, also the mod adds a several staircase interiors and a fire escapes on few buildings (they doesn't exist on normal Vice City map). I explored new islands and the new interiors and I didn't noticed even single crash caused by this mod! However, I'm sucked by the fact the author abandoned the mod and and is not going to continue the Vice Cry anymore... Can someone with good experience about mapping, interior and texture modeling in Vice City to continue this mod? I wish to see more interiors and fire escapes on more buildings. I wish for example to see an staircase interior for the tall building with the staircase with large panorama windows on its south side (it's currently not enterable, even in latest version of the mod - Vice Cry 1.8) next to the Malibu Club and make possible to climb on its roof. There also a few more apartment buildings on the east main island with a balcony on their rooftops which cannot be reached because there are no staircase interior inside or a external fire escape which can be used to climb on these balconies in the roofs. Also, I'm wondering if its possible to add an island with abandoned buildings (with graffiti and broken walls / windows) where you can access all their floors like in GTA Wasteland map for GTA SA http://gtaforums.com/topic/549170-saiv-gta-wasteland/? Please can someone to make this and to do continue this mod! Edited October 11, 2014 by TJGM Don't quote the entire OP. Neddo
