Manhunt 2 was an absolute abomination, it had none of the creativity or surrealism of the first game. So yes, they make mistakes. Maybe if it was a completely new game in a completely new franchise people would learn to like it. In my opinion, the only bad Rockstar game that I've played was Liberty City Stories. I actually liked the first Manhunt, too. As for LCS, I just wasn't feeling the story or the characters that much, and I thought the soundtrack was the worst for any GTA game. I've never played Manhunt 2, but I thought the first one was alright at best. I thought the idea and atmosphere of the game was good, but I thought the actual gameplay was pretty weak. While technically DMA, I was never that big a fan of the pre-III GTAs. I quite liked the second one, but it wasn't until the third one that I became a fan of the series. On Topic: i would have to agree cida, i have never been dissapointed by Rockstar. i always enjoy thier masterpieces and even thier only so-called "average" game (manhunt 2) was really good imo Max Payne 3 is the worst Rockstar game of all time. Everyone clamoured for a continuation of Vercetti's story, but all we got was Vic Vance. The blandest protagonist since Mike from GTA Advance. The side cast was absolutely forgettable and the whole game was uninspired and dull. Let me put it to you like this, I completed every other GTA game, playing them constantly and seeking out every easter egg. I played Vice City Stories and after the first fifteen minutes felt I'd wasted my money. It's like Rockstar gave us this sh*tty story and told us to like it. Maybe they didn't notice everyone asking about Vercetti returning every time a new GTA is announced. But no, they'll just give us Vic Vance and ignore what the fans actually want. Awful. Nope.It's because Rockstar are marketing it furiously even after it flopped.The reason I don't like it is because it has a single player which can be beat in less than half a day and because the multiplayer is completely broken with overpowered weapons and half an hour loading screens. @Gtaghost22 I pre-ordered it and beat it 2 times on hard in the first day. The original climaxed with you being hunted in the dark by Piggsy, an obese man in a pig mask. It was a terrifying experience. The Smileys were also an amazing gang, in that they weren't evil, just ill. When you killed one of them, they would sometimes thank you for ending their pain. It was such a clever game and went far beyond the gorno you might expect from its premise. Manhunt 2 had no interesting characters, the whole game revolved around a Fight Club-esque split personality plot device and the antagonists were bland and interchangeable. To be fair, I would have been far happier if the original was merely a stand alone game. There was never a need for a sequel.
