HELLO I am interested in seeing how many of you would support or go against realistic car damage. First off let me tell you what I mean by, "realistic car damage" in the bullets below.

 

1. Average engines, to sport engines to off-roading engines

 

A. If you are driving up a hill at full speed for to long your motor would overheat and possibly break. If it were to cool down and not break the engine would be weaker and damaged. So if you were to keep using the car with the damaged engine you might notice the engine being slow, or stuttering, and the car might shut off unexpectedly.

 

B. This only takes into account depending on what motor your'e using, if you were driving up the hill with an average engine in a station wagon the damage would end up being much more severe then if you were to be driving up the hill with an off-roading engine in a truck.

 

 

2. Average tires, to sport tires, to off-roading tires

 

A. Wheels should remain to pop and bend inward/outward.

 

B. Cars should be able to do burnouts that may cause very little damage to the car. (extremely unlikely to do any damage whatsoever)

 

 

3. Body frame

 

A. A car's body frame should still be damageable due to the extent of how hard the crash was and what you hit at what speed. (this should still affect steering and acceleration)

 

 

4. Collateral damage

 

A. A car's overall performance should be affected by bullets. (In all the past Grand Theft Autos if your car was shot by bullets it would start smoking and blow up)

 

B. When a car is shot by bullets it should slow down, not drive straight, cause engine to stutter, etc.
