Moth
Yep, looks great. Same studio that did Pacific Rim, so I shouldn't have to worry about it, much. Formerly known as The General
rudy
Holy baise-moi, Godzilla looks big and scary as eff. I remember seeing the 1998 Godzilla movie with my family at a drive-in. I was barely able to make out anything at that time. I just hope they don't kill off Gody in this movie. If he gets his ASS sabotaged at the end, just have him walk back into the ocean and leave it like that. And for those who haven't seen the poster yet. Edited October 6, 2013 by rudy. Sup3rman
An amazing trailer, teaser...whatever. It was perfect, cause it didnt show all of it, didnt give away any origin or plot points...didnt give away the size and real look of Godzilla...it just teased and created chills. Cant wait. Funktipus
Being a huge Godzilla fan, I'm salivating over this. Hopefully it'll make us forget that piece of **** 'Fakezilla' Sony TriStar released in 1998. Edwards said Godzilla goes back to his dark roots, which is what G-fans want. For those of you who haven't seen the original 1954 Japanese 'Gojira'(not the butchered American version with Raymond Burr), check it out. 36Chambers
The music that plays when the guys jump out the back of that plane sounds strangely similar to the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey... I like it.

I like it. It is from 2001 and it fits perfectly. As a long time G-Fan (30+ years) this is definitely Day One for me. Haven't been this excited for a film since Watchmen. Sup3rman
Godzilla is bigger than yo mama's ass.... Too big IMO, or maybe this is just like a promotional poster, not having realistic size.

Probably just for a promotional use, like they did with Smaug in that poster for The Hobbit where they show his huge eyes. Funktipus
Been a Godzilla fan ever since I saw the original as a kid. I was furious at Sony for that POS fakezilla from 1998. I'm hoping this will make me forget that disaster. I highly recommend you guys check out 1954's 'Gojira'(not the butchered American version with Raymond Burr). Despite the primitive spfx, it's a dark, serious, sad film with many themes. It's still the best G-film. Best G sequel? Mothra vs. Godzilla(1964). NYC PATROL
When I first saw the new trailer I wasn't sure how I felt about the CG. Sometimes it looked nice and other times it looked a little average. The battleships on the huge wave and Godzilla emerging from the water near the beach particularly didn't look so hot. At first. But after watching again a few times it's not so bad. Plus there is still a bunch of post-production time. Other than that it looks like it should be an entertaining movie. Stinky12
I hope this one is better, the one from a years back was crap. All I remember from the last one was, Godzilla keep on running away, while humans kept on trying to kill her with missles and whatever weapons they have. Never noticed just how much ol Poof Fappy was trying to pull of the Blade look back then. Oh Lord why did I buy this soundtrack all those years ago? Omnia sunt Communia
I just watched the two trailers for the first time in this thread. I must admit, I'd heard murmurs of a new Godzilla film, but I hadn't really paid it much attention. When I watched those trailers though... Wow. I can't wait! I'm a big fan of the giant monster/kaiju genre. I really like what films like Cloverfield, Pacific Rim and now Godzilla have done with it. I cannot wait for this film! Plus I love the reoccurring aesthetic of the red flares against the dark sky; or the reference to the first Gojira film in 1954. It just seems like such a more well thought-out homage to the original films than the 1998 catastrophe. Plus the design of Godzilla is so much more true to his original design. Makes me feel like I'm watching Godzilla, not Jurassic Park set in NYC.
X-Seti
Remakes will be the death of Hollywood. I am thinking oh-no not another remake, I am yet to see what they have done to Robocop. .
Omnia sunt Communia
Remakes will be the death of Hollywood. They've been remaking films ever since Hollywood came into existence and it hasn't killed them yet! As far as reboots go though, this one looks pretty good! Much better than the 1998 monstrosity!
