Magic_Al
maybe it has been postet maybe not: relating to the shadow. it looks way more authentic to me It's possible at higher altitude GTA V won't show shadows. This (another thread) shows shadows pop in as the player falls from high altitude. Interesting points in the video are 1:18 and 2:00 where you can see the distance limits of shadows drawing. They may have increased the distance in GTA V. Worst case, if you fly any higher than in this screenshot shadows disappear.
Jewstinian
I seriously hope they're still keeping the clouds from the first GTA V trailer — those looked amazing, especially how they all changed design over time. The clouds in the two new GTA V screens aren't looking so nice. These were probably early BETA footage though; hence no (blade?) on the back of the Police Helicopter. DRN94
The graphics are a huge leap forward to what is possible on this gen of consoles, in my opinion. If you think the lake and palm trees look bad then go to middle park in GTA IV and go to the lake. Look at the reflections and the surrounding trees and background and then compare it to the new screenshot. Huge difference. Fly around in a helicopter around dusk and then look at the screenshot. Again, huge difference. I don't think there is a legitimate complaint about the graphics. It is quite manifest how well they've improved the performance and graphical quality of RAGE. Oh my god, that's terrible. I still find it unbelievable that Hideo Kojima couldn't make a decent game out of the original Rising real-time, dynamic sword cutting concept. That was a revolutionary gameplay mechanic! And yet Kojima decides he can't make a game around it (facepalm), outsources it to another company and they produce a crap hack 'n' slash game with shoddy graphics lol. Exactly, I'm not an idiot, and I know that right behind this impersonation of Beverly Hills, the city of Los Angeles stops - I know it's Los Santos, but I can't see them invent a whole new part of a city that's not in Los Angeles to put it in Los Santos. The city is small. Now, "our biggest open-world game" probably means the countryside is f'kin huge or there are other small major cities (San Fierro/Las Venturas)

I mean are you fn blind. That's beyond stupid. And you don't know if it stops. Why don't you wait until the game comes to judge how big it is. We haven't even seen LSX, and that'll add a lot to LS's size.

Zulu2065
If we were shown all of the city, you'd see LSX, you'd see the docks, you'd see the mansions of Richman. You can't even see Pleasure Pier from these scenes. Why don't you shut up and stop criticizing a game that's not even out. It's stupid when people do that. Always got a damn annoying critic attention whore.
stranger44
kojima made gr8 games I absolutely agree. Which is why I find it all the more puzzling that he couldn't make a decent game out of the original real-time dynamic cutting gameplay mechanic displayed in the original MGS: Rising. That would be a wet dream for most developers and yet Kojima outsourced the game?!? It's very strange lol. Maybe he just wanted to focus on MGS5. Iroquois
I wasnt able to read the 100 or so pages of this thread; but has anyone noticed or mentioned that in the background to the top left; it seems to be a bridge that closely resembles the golden gate bridge? Does this mean it would include more cities or major areas beside the "parody" of los angeles?
