But seriously people compare IV to the screenshots that we just got, particularly the second one. I mean there is a huge difference and if you think otherwise your clearly f*cked in the head. Even if you think the graphics are terrible, you must admit that some games these days still look worse than GTA V pics that we just got. Best post in this thread Thank you. I'm not boycotting R* or anything, its just that I think we all expected the next info to be release date or protagonist reveal etc. However I'm happy we finally broke the 8 month wait, even if it was just some 'pointless' screens (By pointless I mean, they revealed nothing but probably half LS size & a new park. I agree. Gameplay > graphics. Add to this that we have awesome Euphoria physics engine! Does any game besides GTA IV and V even have that? RDR and MP3. Graphics looked good in IV, and will look even better on V with effects such as god-rays, tesselation and all the rest from May Payne , Red Dead and other recent games on RAGE platform. Besides, game is not done, so the graphics will keep improving as we approach it's release date, let IV itself be the judge of how they improve graphics. Everyone can have their own opinion and mine is that the graphics look too dated. this.... ...and yes its true graphics is not nearly as important as gameplay but i am def. underwhelmed the heli looks like sh*t and the building textures are still the very same and they still have these annoying lights levitating above the ground trying to tell me these are cars even tho you can see they're not right away. so far dissapointing IMHO. of course i still think it'll be a great game cause the fact that the graphics still are the same like IV gives me hope that this time they actually put content in the game which was a huge let down for me with IV. Based on MP3, even if they implement AA it's going to take a staggering amount of VRAM so that venue is out of the question. However, I understand some people's commotion, the engine is dated, it's about 10 years old now, what is to be expected? The map size has to reduce the graphics quality further. On other hand, these screenshots are most probably from the console version, I doubt anyone would create a promotional screenshot using that resolution on a PC. From this I derive: a) we can expect better graphics quality on the PC version b) why did they take a screenshot for the console version? Like GTAIV trailer, it was made using different tehniques and software, to make it look more beautiful. Rendered out of game most likely too. These pictures are what shows the graphics. Of course, I agree with you. However we have to understand that fans will judge what is shown to them at a particular time. Right now everyone is judging the screens because it's what they have. Perhaps when new information is released, everyone will have a different judgement, wether better or worse. Just because some say the screens look dissapointing, doesn't mean they will feel that way about the game when they actually play it.
