GTA_stu
I'm not so sure if it is a park or not. The lake/pond and trees do make it look like one. But then there's those buildings which are really close, and I'm guessing they're houses, they do look like houses. Would you really have houses so close? I'd say it almost looks more like some sort of retirement village for old folks, shady acres?

Msharingan
I love how this is the Analyse Topic, yet there is no real analysing going on. I thought it was a discussion topic, and it seems many people are discussing. You can't analyse much about a game from two screenshots. You can, however, take from this what Rockstar might be doing with the game. For instance, two screenshots is indicative of a larger reveal soon; they are comfortable showing the game and are therefore waiting for the right venue to showcase it (seemingly Gamescom). Msharingan
I think the graphics are quite clearly a downgrade from the first trailer, and it mostly seems to be because of a lack of anti-aliasing in the recent build. I, however, don't care. If this can have a better framerate than the console version of GTA IV, more akin to Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3, then the game is already doing something right. "US bank tower" isn't there. So this might as well be another city... I hope.

Watinho
I will not fall for R* tricks. The trailer was 9 month ago, and the game was clearly in a very advanced stage. They were working further since that time, so the game is even more advanced, and probably very close to be ready for release.
Kipsta
When will people learn? 1) Consoles > PC. Have a different opinion? Well, f*ck you then! This is GTAForums. Only consoles are cool. 2) Graphics are great. Have a different opinion? Well, f*ck you then! This is GTAForums. Every game by Rockstar is perfect. 3) 2 screenshots after 8 months is more than we could have wished for. Have a different opinion? Well, f*ck you then! This is GTAForums. Everything Rockstar does is perfect. Oh man... I think I'll take a break from the V forums 'till people have calmed down a little. This My reasoning for why consoles are superior: -A good gaming PC will burn my wallet and my bank accounts tenfold -The game is good enough for console players, but it is never good enough for PC players. They have to mod and add to the game in order for it to be good enough for them. -I can play a game on a $300 console, but will never be able to play a game on a $300 computer -They are just plain simpler Thank you all, enjoy your screenshots. Or not, because all of you feel that they aren't good enough for the moment. Are these guys for real or what?
Death2Drugs
The graphics are pretty good. They certainly are similar, but not exactly like, to IV. GTA V is obviously more cheery and nice compared to IV's grey feel. However, V looks better because of draw distance, more higher-res texture, more better shadows, vegetation, and other things. If you look at a smaller version of the 2nd picture, it looks near-photo realistic. Look at a high-res one, you notice the obvious problems with aliasing and mipmapping. I'll enjoy V even if it has IV-like graphics with minor enhancements. Content over graphics any day, as long as both areas are improved but lean toward content. And there seems to be only 3 different views stated in 73 pages. 1: ZOMG DIS SH*TS KRAZY UGLY YO COCKSTAR IZ AMATURE YO 2: a console VS. pc flame war 3: People who are actually HAPPY with some new footage, liking what they got, also seeing some flaws but couldn't be bothered by it. The page count went up so fast, I can't even easily get to the middle 40+ pages, but the only "analysis" is see so far is a bunch of fools saying "the graphics suck." Geeez.... Hopefully the good mapping guys on the LA mapping topic will put their new analysis in that thread, where it is accessible.
Msharingan
For me Rockstar were the first developers to realise that photo-realistic graphics doesn't equal a realistic game. When I see a full rendered moustache with individually modelled hairs, I don't really care. When I see a character fumble in his pocket for a phone, or unfold a newspaper realisitcally, that is when I am immersed into the game. There is a psychological reason for this, as humans we react to seeing 'things' (real or otherwise) act and move like us. It's the reason for the uncanny valley, why you are sometimes disturbed by a realistic reaction to pain, for instance. Motion capture actors also speak about this, and how strange it is seeing their movements in another body. I imagine GTA V will be no different. This images don't give any insight into how the animations will be, and that is why I eagerly anticipate another trailer while a reserve judgement on how good the game 'looks'. Perrinzki
the best thing is that one can see a long-ass bridge in the upper left part of the helicopter screen. Whole SA? No.

It seems that Rockstar are focusing more on how to make the city feel like a real city. The people sitting on the bench makes the city feel much less dead. Here we go again... not to start a flame war, but i too am sick and tired of pc gamers constantly bashing consoles. yes, computers are far more powerful and advance every year, but consoles come first in most games. i think that pc gamers hate on consoles so much because pc's are usually left behind for a lot of games. this is just my opinion tho.
