I'm thinking Dwayne Wade is wanting the Kobe Bryant treatment. Wade took a pay cut during "the big 3" era, he is getting old, want to retire in Miami... but wants to get paid.

 

 

Only way Wade leaves Miami is if they don't pay up. He did due diligence, time for Miami to do theirs.

Teams are just throwing money at everyone

 

That's because every team MUST use 90% of their cap space. It helps to make sure the owner's don't bogart the money on sh*tty teams.

 

So, money to the players > money in the owner's pockets.

The Lakers picked up Luol Deng with a 4-year $72 million contract. So far that's the best move they've made.

Celtics will be a team to reckon with here in about 2 or so years when their young talent develops and if they can add a few more pieces.

Dwight's amount makes no damn sense. His peak was HS. These teams are throwing money to the point you have to wonder.

 

The Timberwolves and Celtics are developing forces, if the Sixers reform properly around Simmons I believe they'll go back to their early 2000 days.

 

I doubt KD is going to be a Celtic though, either the Clippers or Warriors or stay.

This is way different. Durant is joining the 2015 champions as well as the best team in the nba RIGHT NOW, cause Cavs beated them in the finals but don't tell me that Cavs are a better team than Warriors, please. That was just an unbelievable undertaking by Lebron & co.

When Lebron signed for Miami the Heat were nothing, they were rebuilding from the start. Of course after Bosh and James signs they were by far the best team in the nba, but that was all yet to be proved. Today Durant signed for a team who we are SURE is the best this league has to offer...

Hopefully OKC fans do burn his jersey, I feel bad for them the most. Only hope of knocking GSW out now is San Antonio and Cleavelend. Lebron will be David and GSW will be Goliath.

It would have been pretty sick to see him in Boston, him and Isaiah Thomas could have done some real damage.. oh well. If OKC loses Westbrook, they'll be no better than the Sonics prior to being relocated from Seattle; their only star would be Victor Oladipo, and they'll be missing the playoffs. The Thunder is a small market team too, this is going to hurt them in the long run.

It will take years to recover and it will show if Sam Presti can rebuild and put another superstar quality team together. If Westbrook stays then there's a glimmer of hope.

 

It's funny seeing people post and say, "well OKC didn't put right players around him"

 

blowing a 3-1 lead falls onto the players, not the fans, coaches, management or the city itself. they've been blowing leads all year and now it's OKC can't help him? KD and Westbrook would SINGLE HANDIDLY lose games in the final moments.

I was really hoping he'd sign with us, but it's whatever after this decision if he leaves after his contract is up, I wouldn't want him on Boston. I wouldn't of care where he went, as long as it wasn't GSW or San Antonio. But I guess when you're desperate you gotta do what you gotta do right?

Basketball play is about option, Warriors now have yet another option with KD. Boy, they will probably go 80-2 next season. With the 2 losses to Cleveland

I hope they do, and they decide to not show up and rely on kicking other players in the nuts during the playoffs and fail miserably in the Finals.

 

If they don't win a ring within' two years then KD should get more flak than LeBron has ever had... and if not from the media or ya'll then it will definitely come from me.

As a Durant/OKC fan I was initially eh about it but this could help his skills develop, the western finals were hard for them last year and they could've won but...
