so they don't win without each other, is about all you've convinced me of :pp

Except last year, 2 games all from LeBron.

you mean.... in b4 he carries the team all the way to home-court advantage in the playoffs and then snaps his ankle in game 1 ;)

I'm listening to Stephen A. Smith right now, and he thinks this move was to entice Durant. f*ck you, Smith. Don't get my hopes up.

yes, because nothing is more enticing than a losing franchise, a ball hog and a guy who can't stay healthy for an entire season.

because "blaming them" is not how it works.

somebody had to step up and Kyrie did.

it's not that LBJ should've done twice the work.

it's that LBJ basically did what he was supposed to do. aside from playing well he didn't play otherworldly. timely shot block. timely 3 pointer.

he'll have plenty more MVP's to win anyhow. I think Kyrie earned it for the Finals.

giving the MVP to James feels like what everyone thinks they're supposed to do. because he's the heart and soul of the team. and I'm not arguing that he isn't. but that's different from the series MVP.

Sometimes the easy answer is the right answer. LeBron was the most important person with the biggest impact for the Finals, so much so that even if GS won the finals, he would still be the MVP.

The amount of awards either player has or eventually will get is irrelevant.

I wonder if Cleveland will burn his jersey (again) when he leaves this, or next, offseason?

When I saw the camera pan to the outside of the Cavs stadium during the final moments. I was wondering how many of those people burned their jersey 5, 6 years ago and rebought one. lol

all of them have or will be doing so... it's not really a fair judgement on the fans though, his decision was a nationally broadcasted event. They had cameras in good damn bars all over the nation.

I hope it was only a few losers burning 80-100 dollar jerseys and not the whole fan base.

Want to get rid of injured, broken-down, past-their-prime star players? Just call the Knicks, the NBA's official dumping ground.

You guys are acting like Rose wasn't carrying his team along with Butler last season.

I doubt Durant would go to the Knicks, the Spurs is looking mighty tasty to him.

EDIT: Well my husband Ben Simmons is looking so fine at this draft. I wonder who the Knicks are drafting hopefully not another white boy.

Yup, great move Serge can only block/guard shots. If Durant goes to the Warriors (which I'm starting to believe, he wants a championship) he might get me to like the Warriors more.

Cabarrot to Sixers. Damn Sixers have the visuals.

With the moves the Knicks have made I think he goes to NYC

Is that sarcasm zello?

I highly doubt Durant goes to the Warriors. It is enticing, but OKC are making moves to keep him here. Last time we went to the finals we had a freakishly athletic backcourt, and here we are with Oladip and Westbrook in the back court. Durant can win a championship in OKC, and they had the chance to go to the Finals but they just blew it... Thunder made major moves this evening in a really good way. If KD doesn't stay in OKC now (for at least a 1year+1 year player option) then he has had his mind made up for some time.

Westbrook contract is up next year and I personally believe these guys want to win one together in OKC and I'm thinking next season will be the last hurrah for that.

Mion, usually if you "carry a team" it's to the playoffs, not your couch.

I still want to know whose idea was it to have the draft 4 days after the (potentially) final game of the year. lol

At least give it a month..

I prefer it this way... the NFL strings it along entirely way to long after the super bowl.

If Rose and Butler weren't in the Bulls this season they'll be off as much as the Nets.

what do you mean "?" Bulls didn't even make the playoffs.. butler and rose carried them home for the post season. At that point they should've been on point with the Nets so they could have gotten a better draft pick.

Probably because there's 8 months(2 months of playoffs) of basketball and only 6 months(1 month of playoffs) of football.

I still think they need a month before the draft, give the champs a time to celebrate and not worry about drafting players. lol

Seems like Phil Jackson's done a 180 degree turnaround. Instead of preaching slow growth and continuity (a la San Antonio), the Knicks have gone back to their old way of doing business, signing big name players(who aren't what they used to be) to make a splash. We all know how that's worked for this franchise. Been through this song & dance for decades, going back to Spencer Haywood and Marvin Webster.

True, this is why I don't agree with them trading Butler. If they want to rebulid they're doing it in a bad way. Edited by Mion

I never understood trading Butler either, you'd like to have a centerpiece to build your team around and he seems like that perfect guy. They're playing hard to get with him though, as they should.

Durants ruled out meeting with LA and Washington. Which doesn't surprise me. Out of the teams that are left that he's going to meet with, I only see two legitimete teams to sign him. Boston and OKC. And me being the Boston fan I am, I sure hope he signs but I think we have a legit shot at signing KD. Now I've heard the "Boston doesn't have anything that would interest durant nonsense" but when you actually look at the circumstances, I think we have the best shot besides OKC of signing him. And if we didn't interest him, why in the hell would he even meet with us in the first place. First off we all know if he were to sign with the Spurs or GSW, it would be a huge cop out. And I don't even know why he's entertaining the Spurs when they beat them this season. Plus he wants to be the "guy" neither of those teams would allow him to be that. Plus those teams are in the west and even though signing with either of those teams would most likely guarnetee him a couple rings, it's still a harder road than the east. Then there's Miami that's also looking to sign him. Well Miami has an aging roster and don't have near the amount of assets Boston has. All in all, Boston has a young up and coming roster, we are in the east, we have assets out the ass for future trades, he can be the main man, and have a franchise that's top notch. Now I still think he'll probably just sign a 1 or 2 yr deal with OKC but if he were to leave, I honestly think Boston would be his best fit.

He stays one more year then goes into FA with Westbrook together next year.

Next years free agency pool will be absolutely nuts if LeBron opts out of his contract and if KD takes a 1 year 1 player option... LeBron, KD, Westbrook, Curry, Griffin, Chris Paul, Rudy Gobert... the list goes on.
