Nah, he's incomplete. It's not like he scored an NBA record 17 points in overtime (reg. or postseason) after missing a couple weeks.

He's the MVP, unanimously. If he isn't, then some people just don't want to see anyone have that claim.

He has one of the quickest releases I have ever seen and from 35 feet out he doesn't have to heave it. Amazing.

I don't deny Curry's a great player, but he's not up there with the NBA immortals (Wilt, Russell, Jordan, Kareem, Oscar, Magic, Bird, West, LeBron, Duncan) yet. When I see these clowns on social media claim he's a better all-around player than LeBron James, that tells me what they know about basketball.

Well I don't hold much stock in those older players.

Shaq >>> Wilt and Russell

Curry >>> West and Oscar

Shaq was great, but not even close to being as good as Wilt the Stilt.

Two different types and styles though.

He has more rings. Shaq is bigger and faster. I think athletes have evolved a lot in that time. They don't hold a candle to the new generation.

Curry's not in the same stratosphere as Jerry West & the Big O.

Shaq faster than Wilt?????? LOL. Wilt's one of the greatest athletes this country's ever produced.

You don't judge greatness solely by rings.

If we're going by rings then Bill Russell is the GOAT

TGkCtUv.jpg

11 rings

Most rings makes him the greatest ever right? No he played in a different era where the competition wasn't as good as today's NBA

^The NBA wasn't as watered-down as it was back in the day. The league was a lot tougher and players were better schooled on fundamentals.

And NO ONE had a higher basketball IQ than Mr. Russell.

Latest doesn't mean greatest.

I feel that those old school guards would have a very hard time against Jordan, Payton and so on.

He will be if he keeps the pace up. It's f*cking ridiculous comparing players from completely different eras with different rules and different athletes.

It's like comparing green apples and green bell peppers... they're both green, that's it.

You don't judge solely by rings but it has to factor in.

A huge factor at that.

Russell benefitted from the era he played in.

The NBA was still in it's infancy, so not many good players. Plus, there were only 8 times for the majority of the time he played. 10 straight championships lol

Oh well, still a record nobody will break (11 rings)

It just ticks me off hearing young "fans" dissing the old cats (who they never saw play), as if their accomplishments meant nothing. It's ridiculous.

Great players can play in any era.....they would make the necessary adjustments.

Imagine what Earl Monroe, Dr. J, George Gervin, David Thompson, 'Nique, Clyde Drexler, a young Jordan, etc., would do in today's NBA where wing players can't be touched-up anymore.

I started following the NBA in 1969....Russell was already retired, but I saw Wilt and everyone since.

I have seen old games at length and I feel that Shaq is a superior player to them.

Spurs in trouble??

Lost two home games to the Thunder, after only losing one game all year.

No beat down at all, gritty basketball. If OKC doesn't shut it down Thursday, then Spurs will get it in 7.

Not looking good for the Knicks. I will blow a gasket if Phil hires f-n Rambis;

http://radio.cbssports.com/2016/05/10/rambis-melo-knicks-trade-peter-vecsey/?cid=twitter_CBSSportsRadio

With some of the good coaches available right now Phil is an idiot if he hires Rambis but he wants to stick with the triangle which so far hasn't worked I'd like to see Blatt or someone else take over the team Phil just needs to let the triangle go

I feel like Phil is just coasting along until his contract is up so he can go work with his wife in LA. I'm pretty sure Jeanie will take realm of team next season if this season falls apart again, which will leave the door wide open for Phil to come back and he'll have the coach he wanted originally in NY.

When Pat Riley took over, he knew what worked in LA would not work here, so he made the Knicks a gritty, defensive team with a halfcourt, inside-out offense centered around Ewing. He adjusted to the talent. Not Phil.....he's trying to fit square pegs into round holes to prove how much of a 'genius' he is. He actually thinks the triangle won him all those rings instead of Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, etc. And he wants a puppet coach to carry out his wishes. It's looking like Rambis will be that puppet. Us Knick fans are f-n furious about the direction of the team. Phil's stubborness is killing this franchise.

Sir Michael

Well sh*t, that's a lame way to get knocked out. Duncan might as well hang it up this Summer.. he's 40 now.

That Westbrook/Curry matchup is going to be all over the place though.
