His 30-40 foot spot up jump shots make up for his "anemic defense". Respect game dude. Curry has played 70+ games all his career except in in '11-'12 when he had a major injury. Get over it, HE'S GREAT. People did the same sh*t to Kobe in his prime, it's called hating. You can call it "criticism", I call it nit picking a great player.

I'm the biggest LeBron fan around. I'm born/raised OKC but LeBron was before the Thunder so I understand how it is to be a fan of player who gets scrutinized for being a great-once in a genration player. So much expectations and pressure...

And Curry is incomplete. Being dominant doesn't negate what it takes to be complete. Let's also remember, he's not a role player/situational player. Role players get away with being one trick ponies. Starters shouldnt. They need to be well rounded. Curry isn't. He's dominant offensively, but anemic defensively.

keep digging that hole...

you could always just admit that you're wrong, too, and that your analysis is shallow and doesn't really hold any water. then you wouldn't have to keep doubling down on this drivel.

So a complete player, to you, is someone who is only good at 50% of what the game is about? That 50% being offense. Sounds like an incomplete player to me.

It would be like calling a QB complete if all he can do is make half of all the throws.

The only ones digging themselves a hole are the ones calling Curry a complete player. I'm not disputing his offensive prowess, but I won't call him a complete basketball player if he's only good at one end of the floor. That would be asinine, on so many levels.

At least Lebron can play defense.

He was mostly criticized for coming up small in big games and later for "the decision". But he is truly a great player, there's no denying that.

Curry is a great offensive player, there's a difference.

Won $100 today. Had a bet with a friend, regarding Curry.

The bet was that if he played, he wouldn't finish the game. Knowing the history of his brittle ankles, I felt like it was a safe bet. I didn't think he would get a new injury, I just thought his ankles would start giving him trouble halfway through the game, causing him to have to finish the game on the bench. But since he got injured, again, I still won the bet. :D

Calling curry a complete player is a f*ckin joke man. Anyone who thinks that hasn't seen a complete player play before. MJ is the closest to a complete player you'll ever see. Won an mvp, scoring title and defensive player of the year award all in the same year. THATS a complete player. Curry doesn't play any D and he has a weak inside game it's just 3s. When he goes inside it's just a wide open layup. Plus he just started at 27, now he's 28. That's a little late man. I'm sorry but anyone calling curry a complete player has no iota as to what a complete player is. He's also a very, VERY stupid player. Granted most of his 3s go in, there have been games where they weren't falling and what does he do? Keep shooting and missing 3s. Who the f*ck does that? That's idiotic basketball. Take away his 3 and he's average... well what kind of superstar is that?

Just ignore Jat, he's just full of sh*t and talks nonsense. lol

He probably thinks Brady or Manning are incomplete because they can't scramble or a goalie because he can't score.

Well, looks like the cleaning crew needs to do a better job next time. They'll get out of this round but if it's something serious, they won't get past the Spurs.

LeBron is the definition of a complete player - Curry isn't. Curry's a great scorer, but LeBron does everything....rebound, defend(any position), get his teammates involved AND score.

I've already heard fans claim Curry is one of the best ever.......f-n millenials.

Ah yes, ad hominem attacks, the resort of people who can't argue the point when they are wrong.

Nah, it makes perfect sense if you understand the meaning of the word "complete".

You think Curry is complete, ok. But you couldn't be more wrong.

He probably thinks Brady or Manning are incomplete because they can't scramble or a goalie because he can't score.

Nope, if you read and understood what I posted, you'd also understand that your statement here isn't the brightest.

I said that they need to be able to do things that is asked of that position or that are important to their position.

A Qb would be incomplete if all he can do is throw half of all the different throws. Because he'd only be good at 50%.

A goalie (soccer) would be incomplete if he was bad at the aerial game, meaning going up for crosses and that sort of balls. Plus, that goalie argument, come on. A goalie is not playing on offense, you might as well have compared a QB not being able to return punts. That's how far fetched that argument is.

Curry is incomplete because he's only good at one side of the floor, the offensive side. In basketball you play both offense and defense, unless you're a role player. He's not a role player/situational player, so he's definitely incomplete. That's a fact.

Yea, because your arguments are 'incomplete'

For one, Curry led the league in steals. The last time I checked, you only get those by stealing the ball away from the opposing team, you know, defending, something you say he can't do.

What else do you want him to do? Block? lol

And no, I'm not saying he's GOAT but definitely a lot better than you're making him out to be.

LeBron is still the best player this era.

no one who actually gets paid to write about sports uses the word "incomplete" when talking about Steph Curry. it's such a stupid argument. it's so funny that he can't seem to let it go. he already made his bed, now he's lying in it.

Every time I hear that word, I think of Broncos games when the opposing team throws an incomplete pass and the crowd yells IN COM PLETE.

Good times.

Either way, just let jat be jat.

Should hear about Curry anytime now.

__________

Grade 1 sprain, could miss two weeks.. Well, let's see how this goes. I think they can beat the Clippers/Trail Blazers but they will need him back for the Spurs.

I still find it dumb they don't reseed in the playoffs.

God you make it sound like Steph Curry plays defense like James Harden. He doesn't. You make it sound like he can't score inside the 3 point arc, which he does. He can drive the paint and finish at the rim with great layups and uses his floater effectively.

Calling Curry "incomplete" is some of the stupidest sh*t I've heard this sports year. He isn't the goat, obviously, but with his pace and if he can manage to keep it going for a few years then it'd be hard to say he isn't one of the best of this generation.

Just admit you hate when a player does great things when you don't think he's great. You can't even call the two time MVP a great player. You're delusional. Decent, sub-par players do not win back to back MVPs, they're not main force on a 73 win team, or win a championship with the potential to win another.

Also, I'd like to thank Mark Cuban for calling Westbrook a "all star", "not a superstar". It's not like he needs bulletin board material, but damn.

You might as well put a fork in the Clippers. I hate seeing teams go down due to injury, it doesn't seem fair. It will be interesting to see how the Warriors do without the Stephmiester.

The Warriors without Curry in the lineup, going back 2 years, have a higher net efficiency. What does that mean? It means that Curry makes the team worse when he's on the court lol. He's supposed to elevate the team, but he does the opposite. They're a better team without him.

Can't say the same for the Cavaliers. Lebron should win MVP, because he is the most valuable player. Hands down, not even close.... going by the advanced metrics.

If a team does better without you on the court, you sure as hell aren't the MVP.

But, the voters don't vote based on who's actually the most valuable. So the MVP award is a bit of a joke.

It's more of a who-is-the-most-popular-and-is-putting-up-good-numbers type of award. But an MVP, no, that's not what it is. Because if it was, Lebron would win it.

Not sure where you're getting those stats but no

Stats show the Warriors are better on offense and defense with Curry on the court.

So, just pipe down.

The team just has depth, that's why nobody is worried that he will miss the next 2-3 games of the next series. Be it the Clippers, lol or the Trailblazers, they don't threaten them.

Skip Bayless is leaving First Take after the Finals, gonna get paid by them folks over on Fox sports.

With your logic the Warriors would've won more than 73 games without Curry. Please, just please, stop. At first it was, 'man this guy is a Steph Curry hater', now it's like 'man this guy is annoyingly delusional'.

"makes the team worse"

stay in the NFL topic...

Let the Warriors play the Spurs or Thunder in the conference finals without Curry, and we'll see how far they get.

I don't hate Curry. I'd be happy if he was on the Lakers. But I still wouldn't dream of calling him complete.

Heard it on ESPN one morning. I have no clue where their stat guys got their sh*t from. But i shouldn't be surprised that they got it wrong. Like i said previously, ESPN has turned into the FOX News of sports, spreading misinformation and blatant lies. f*ck em, I'm done with them. MNF will be the only thing I watch on there from now on. Soooo... OKC is getting spanked by 30 points right now, and it's not even halftime. With the way this series just kicked off, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 4-1 Spurs or even a sweep. They're just dominating right now, especially Kawhi.

I know, I kinda jumped the gun with that comment. Just from the first half, it looks like Aldridge is going to be a bit of a matchup problem for Ibaka, and whoever Leonard defends is more than likely going to be putting up bad numbers. If Westbrook and Durant can pick up a rhythm, then the next few games should be close. OKC made a load of mistakes early on with the numerous three-point fouls and the turnovers. It is only game 1, maybe things should turn around game 2.

Also, I think the GSW can sit Curry this whole series. No problem
