Lebron will leave.. I'm not sure what to think of him just yet.

 

Can you imagine the hate he would get for doing that? I can't believe LeBron would want to go through being the bad guy again.

What makes you so sure he'll leave? Because he left Cleveland to Miami? He did what he wanted to do... win a few NBA Championships. Now, clearly, he wants to bring one to his homestate. He has the right pieces in Cleveland, it's all about execution and staying heathly. Plus, they're in the Eastern Conference, they'll make the playoffs.

 

Not to mention he could get a very, very large paycheck from Cleveland once his contract is up.

So a big three-way trade between OKC-CLE-NY.

 

As a Thunder fan I'm a bit concerned about bringing in Waiters. I'm convinced he can score, but we already have 3 attacking guards on our roster and adding a 4th might be troublesome. I'll feel better if KD or Russ goes down with a injury, but watching Waiters, KD and Russ on the floor at the same time will be interesting. It'll either hurt us or finally hurl us over the top to get a damn championship ring.

 

Cleveland adding Shumpert and JR should only help them... maybe. Would've thought they would try to get someone to fill at least one of Varejo's shoes. New York actually making logical trades! It's the first step to recovery.

I think that waiters on OKC will help them out escpially if they don't end up trading Jackson. Him and waiters will be a pretty good combo. On the other hand I don't see things working out in cleavland with shummpert and smith. Blatt can barely coach the people he had on the team and now adding these two guys will be even worse IMO.

I think Iman Shumpert will flourish in cleveland, i followed him since he was drafted . i read his articles that he published in the ny times during the lockout and hes easily become my favorite player. i was a hardcore Knicks fan my whole life and a Lebron-Cle fan but after lebron left i was just a 1 team man kind of guy , but with shumpert in cle, they will easily be my favorite team!

The Thunder trading for Waiters will end up being a terrible decision. He was good against the Warriors, but so was everyone else. There are way too many volume shooters on the Thunder but I guess he'll understand that Westbrook and Durant will take most of the shots. If he ends up turning into a spot up shooter like Morrow and Lamb, I still think they have too many.

 

And the Knicks.. it's kinda fun to watch a team sh*t the bed so often, tbh. To think Philadelphia was awful.

Dude, I've been a Knicks fan since 1969, so I've seen my share of bad teams. This is as bad as it gets - Isiah's group were winners compared to these clowns......oy vay.

 

But the Knicks are doing what they should have done post-Ewing - tear it down and start over.

Watching this Bucks vs Knicks game in London... Knicks are an embarassment to America lol. Bucks up 14-0, Knicks shooting 0-10.

That game was absolute dross. I think they ended up losing by 15-20 or something. You'd think the league would put on a decent showcase and pick some good teams to try and win new fans, but, from what I recall, the past few years have featured the Knicks vs. Bucks (Bucks are looking promising, but hardly world beaters), Knicks vs. Pistons (when the Knicks actually had a pretty decent record though), and Nets vs. Raptors (when both were sh*t).

Actually, the Knicks are in a better situation than the Nets. They have a lottery pick and lots of cap space.

 

The clock starts clicking on Phil Jackson during the off-season. We'll find out how much of a genius he is.

Phil just had the extreme luck of always coaching an already established team. There's plenty coaches like him. If the team is already good, the guy can cruise control. But when it comes to building a team up, there's a lot of lag in their progress.

If you look Knicks history since the late 70s, their biggest problem is ownership always mortgaging the future for the quick fix, throwing big money at stars past their prime. That (plus not getting Ewing another superstar) is the reason this franchise hasn't won jack s*** since 1973.

 

Things got worse once Brain-Dead Dolan took over. Donnie Walsh had the right idea - he had a long term plan and was willing to wait on Carmelo. But Dolan (who blamed Walsh for losing Lebron), got impatient, blew up Walsh's plan and gave up valuable assets. Knicks are still paying the price for that.

 

Despite all this franchise's struggles. the Knicks sell out practically every night. They're one of the NBA's richest teams, a friggin' cash cow.

Look at the Spurs - they're the complete opposite of the Knicks. Why? They have a smart owner who hires the right basketball people and LEAVES THEM ALONE. The Steelers, Patriots, Cardinals(baseball) operate the same way. That creates a consistent, positive, winning environment. Bad owners kill franchises. Under James Dolan, the Knicks have ONE playoff series win in what, fourteen years....'nuff said.

Anyways, when is Kobe just gonna stop playing? Another injury that will likely sideline him for a few months.

He should come back when he has a reliable basketball squad, or don't at all. He's to old to be put in the situation he is in, either take a pay cut and bring in some quailty players, go lean on a few other superstars on a different team or retire.

 

He's done for the season, so he has time to (once again) sit back, rehab, get paid and think about what to do next.
