Hornets moved there when Katrina wrecked their home arena I think, for a little while. That's why the league ended up moving a team to Oklahoma, because the state showed how much they could support a franchise out there.

But wasn't it the New Orleans Hornets? lol.

Ohh yeah, nvm. I forgot what happened there.

Yeah but they affectionately nick named them OKH for a while I believe.

Yup, you're right. My bad.

Anyways, I'm pumped for Game 2 between the Blazers and Rockets tonight. It's a shame the refs kind of f*cked the ending of Game 1.

Yeah, I love Harden but he played like sh*t on both ends of the court in Game 1. They'll need him to pick it up if they want to win the series, which I think they will.

He needs to concentrate less on getting foul calls. It's a valid part of his game, getting to the line is valuable in any player. But towards the end of the last game, did you see how he attempted a flop and looked for contact instead of just relying on his pretty excellent step back jumper? That disappointed me a little bit. It's a bit of a blip on these great players games.

Oh for sure, he does that far too often. As a professional he should know by now that you're not always going to get those calls, especially in the playoffs. I think he'll be more prepared in Game 2 to just go for it as opposed to just making very awkward plays to try and draw fouls. He's gotta let the fouls come to him and not look for them so much.

That's always been my biggest issue with Harden is his tendency to flop. I hate that in any player. Aside from that his defense needs work.

Yep, I think if he can build on his defense and steer away from the flopping he can be an amazing player in the league. Hope he figures out. I actually sort of have my fingers crossed for him to really go crazy in this play off series.

Yeah, I'm just happy to finally see him in the playoffs without being attached to the OKC name (whether playing for or against them).

Bulls are in a pretty big hole. They let game 2 slip out of their hands. We got great production from the bench, but couldn't close. Much credit to this impressive Wizards team, I feel they were overlooked a bit. Hopefully, Bulls can get back on track and make this a series! Would hate to get swept in the 1st round, need to make proper adjustments. I'm not sure Jimmer will ever get a chance from Thibs

Bill Simmons actually predicted a win for the Wizards before the series started, but he also predicted that they'd reach the eastern conference finals against Miami, which I don't think will happen. If the Pacers get by the Hawks as I expect them to I don't see any way the Wizards can beat the Pacers, unless the Pacers' play continues to really drop off.

I understand what a bandwagoner is. Usually a bandwagoner is a person who follows a team that is dominant and is winning championships... but now-a-days it's about the name not the logo.

Whenever Hurricane Katrina happened the New Orleans Hornets decided to move to Oklahoma City until the Louisiana Dome was repaired. I believe we were able to see Chris Paul in his rookie year.

They did temporarily move to OKC when Katrina happened, but they moved back. Then the Seattle Supersonics had a dispute between the owner and lawmakers in Seattle, so they relocated to OK; being named Thunder because of the thunder OKC gets.

They was renamed to the Pelicans because Charlotte was the home of the Hornets before they relocated to New Orleans. So, in the '14-15, they'll be the Charlotte Hornets and not the Bobcats. :^:

Yeah, I actually thought they were supposed to go back to being the Hornets this past season. I was wondering what happened with that.

Either way I'll be glad to see the Hornets logo return to Charlotte.

I Hate Harden, he forces drives and gets bailed out by foul calls, shoots like 20 sometimes.

^ Lol, truth be told, Sacramento deserves to keep their team. They're not good, but they still have a bit of history to them. It's just wrong to take that away... this whole relocation idea the major sports embrace is disgusting.

Also, on the topic of coaches, Gregg Popovich just won his third Coach Of The Year Award. He's tied with Pat Riley and Don Nelson for the most All-Time in the NBA. With 4 rings, he just needs one more championship to tie Pat Riley's five. :O

They were a huge part of early 2000's basketball. I wouldn't call it a bit.

If it wasn't for the Shaq Lakers they would have had a good chance at a ring.

They need to clean up the roster and build around Cousins not Gay.

I didn't mean it disrespectfully, but yeah, a bandwagon fan is someone who supports a team only because of one player, and if that player moves to a different team they then become a fan of that team as opposed to the team they were just supporting. A lot of people hate that stuff, but personally I couldn't give a sh*t less who other people choose to support.

For example: a lot of people support Melo and therefore support the Knicks, but if Melo ends up on the Bulls next year they'll become Bulls fans because Melo is now on the Bulls (I'm not saying all Knicks fans would do this; I'm just talking about bandwagon fans specfically).

Oklahoma City Hornets? What?

People call a fan a bandwagoner when they support a good team.

I liked the Pacers since 2010-2011 when they lost to the Bulls in the first round, I liked how they play. But people call me a bandwagon after last year.

I was preaching about Paul George before he was ever big time.LOL

Wow, really proud of my Mavs for how they did against the Spurs. Looked really dominant, unfortunately I'm still doubtful they'll win the series.

OKC won't make it out of the first round playing like this. The Pacers won't either.

lol... these referees are just terrible. How could he not see Teague step out of bounds when he's standing right there beside him?

I'm hoping Memphis and Atlanta beat their respective opponents... I hate the Thunder and the Pacers are just overrated IMO. I'm watching OKC vs Memphis right now, the Grizzlies are playing beautifully. It's like the Thunder aren't even trying.

Hawks got a ton of FT's.

Hibbert is horrible.

Hawks vs Pacers sucks to watch just like always

The Thunder once again choke, that comeback was admirable though. Can't wait til Durant pulls a LeBron on them.

How did that OKC fan a few posts up get banned?

For an argument in the unpopular opinions thread apparently. But I don't really understand it because he was flamed loads and just responded in kind. Don't want to kick up a fuss or anything but it definitely seemed unfair.

I'm starting to believe Hawks might actually take the series against Pacers..

Not surprising if they do. They're like 13-17 in their last 30 games.

Sir Michael

That Clippers-Warriors game was a brick house from three-point land.

Clippers shot 8-28 and the Warriors shot 6-31... I've never seen teams jack up that many threes before. Still, Curry almost gave them an amazing comeback with those deep threes. sh*t was crazy!! :O

Yeah but I also felt like going into the play offs they would 'step it up'. But the thing is the issue seems to be deeper than that. It's a locker room thing, mixed with some other stuff I guess. People are speculating about the Granger trade etc. Evan Turner hasn't integrated well. It's just all gone south.

Turner had a fight in practice with lance before game one and hibbert has disapeared as a player since before the playoffs. i dont know why you would f*ck with a team that has played so well together (re. turner for granger trade(plus i really like granger)).
