Charlotte in 5.

Nah, the only upset I really expect to happen in the first round is Nets over Raptors.

I thought Brooklyn would be the fave, with their streak

Still, the Nets beating the Raptors would be considered an upset because it'd be a 6-seed beating a 3-seed, not that I assume you're unaware of that or anything.

Yea I guess, I was going more off of who other people were choosing and the hype.

I see more people picking the Raptors over the Nets personally, but I suppose it depends on who you ask.

I just want to see Heat/Nets in the second round.

Apparently the tanked to get the 6th seed so they face us.

But they're not good. Raps were off their game in game 1. 19 turnovers, and DD and Amir were non-factors. Yet it was still close for pretty much the whole game.

Dont think we'll win, but I hope we push it to 6 or 7.

For anyone else that don't think the Heat's any good here's a little tip. They save there energy for the playoffs. Why go full throttle all year when you don't have to. Save that energy. Your winning again this year anyways.

Could not agree with this more. They haven't played a full strength lineup since Christmas. They've got a deep bench of players who may not be the best in the league, but they are all competitive, tough, grinding players who do their best to hold a team at arms length while the stars have a break. LBJ, D-Wade and Bosh are all burnt out from the last 3 years of competing, so this year was a great opportunity to give them extended rest breaks throughout the season before the playoffs. I can't wait to see them at full throttle come the conference finals.

It's not really a well kept secret that teams coast till the play offs. Just look at the Spurs. Pop has been doing that with an ageing squad for years now. The Miami Heat aren't innovators.

The Heat will not threepeat. They'll be lucky to make it to the finals.

Before you call me crazy, just watch and see ;)

I feel as if it's just as likely as OKC winning at this point, I can't decide who I'd rather back. Also Spurs. Everyone forgets about Spurs.

I think it's going to be Clippers vs Heat at the finals. The Thunder are a good team, but they choke at the wrong times, and personally I want them to lose. Here's my predictions for this round:

Spurs in 5

OKC in 6 (I don't want this)

Clippers in 7

Portland in 6

Hawks in 7

Miami in 4

Brooklyn in 7

Wizards in 7 (Don't want this one either...)

I've told co-workers and friends before playoffs started; if any team in the west is going to beat us (thunder), it'll be the Memphis Grizzlies. Gasol and Randolph complement each other perfecty, and now Conley is forming into a good point guard.

I never really seen Thunder as the team to just "choke" away games. In the past most games have been decided on injuries and being a young team growing together. Now they have no excuses, they've been through thick and thin and it's time to win a championship. Tonight simply lost and had plenty of chances to take the win, in fact, it was like the basketball gods wanted us to win but it was silly turnovers that ultimately cost us.

Before it's too late, Thunder vs Heat rematch in the Finals. Sadly, I see The greatest player on the planet, LeBron, to find another way to get a third consecutive ring ... and hopefully bid farewell to Miami.

OKC won't even make it out of the second round if they can't play better than they did tonight and in the second half of Game 1. They played like high schoolers.

Pretty obvious after the 2013 playoffs, Brooks refused to take out Perkins and play small.

He has to play small ball right when Gasol or Z-Bo is on the bench or they just get destroyed inside and out with Conley, Lee,....

Shoulda known when I made my picks...

NBA is probably sad about possibly not having a Durant v LeBron finals.

I just hope the Clippers don't make it.

Sir Michael

Warriors got wrecked!!

Joakim Noah just got Defensive Player of the Year with 11.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. I actually thought DeAndre Jordan would get that award (13.6 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 1 SPG).

What do you guys think of that choice?

EDIT: off-topic, but DeAndre and Blake Griffin remind me a bit of Shawn Kemp. I wish we still had a basketball team here in Seattle though.. :/

Well I bet he's glad he kept Kendrick in tonight, that was a hell of an offensive rebound and quick bucket. But there is a risk in playing small late, as we saw with the Spurs vs Heat in Game 6 last year.

I agree but, no point leaving him out there when he's going to get rings run around him by smaller, faster players.

Do we really think LeBron will leave Miami but? I mean, if they do win it, which Doom! predicts, he'll have an unprecedented chance (in modern times) at making his 6th Finals appearance and 5th in a row the next year. But I guess, he needs to decide when his time is up there, and there are cases each way. If they don't win it this year, he might leave because his time winning rings there is up, or he might say he wants one more crack with them. Or conversely, if they do win it, he might say that he's done his job, lets move on, or he could say this club has done too much for me to walk away, and stay there to see it out.

Will be interesting either way. He's learned a lot from his departure at Cleveland though, and I'm sure he'll handle it a lot better this time.

I think after the rumors and speculation, LeBron doesn't care where he plays as long as he is in contention for a title. I can easilg see him making a trend of bouncing around teams but winning championships while doing so. Dwayne Wadd is old, Chris Bosh is... well he's Chris Bosh and with their contracts there is no way to bring in more, better and younger talent to help LeBron.

I honestly see him going to another big market, with the slim chance of going back home... buf after what Dan Gilbert and Cleveland did when he left, I don't see why he'd want to go back.

Apparently the Knicks tried to pay Phil Jackson a boat load of money to coach them but he wouldn't do it. The position he took was all the responsibility he was willing to assume.

Can't see there being much improvement with Kerr at the helm. They should of dealt Carmelo when they could of.

Nets are designed to snuff the Heat, and it will be a killer series but I still see Miami taking it.

By the way, anyone's jaw still on the floor from Durants 4 point play last night?

That's because Phil Jackson is the most overrated coach of all-time...he took over for a playoff Bulls team that kept getting beat by the Bad Boys era Pistons, just as the Pistons were aging, of course they would have eventually won a title no matter who was coach...then he takes over for a playoff Lakers team, as if anyone in the world couldn't have coached Shaq and Kobe, in their primes, to an NBA championship

Phil doesn't want to coach the Knicks because he'll be exposed, there's no way he can turn that sh*t team around, and he knows it will taint his "legacy"

Noah does better on the perimeter and he pretty much carries that team defensively.

And TBH Sac>Seattle imo.

Glad they stayed

^ Lol, truth be told, Sacramento deserves to keep their team. They're not good, but they still have a bit of history to them. It's just wrong to take that away... this whole relocation idea the major sports embrace is disgusting.

Also, on the topic of coaches, Gregg Popovich just won his third Coach Of The Year Award. He's tied with Pat Riley and Don Nelson for the most All-Time in the NBA. With 4 rings, he just needs one more championship to tie Pat Riley's five. :O

Really? That's odd cause I could of sworn they beat all of them and became NBA Champions for a second year in a row?

Raptors beat Nets tonight. DeRozan showed up and they did really well. He's looking like the key to the series for the Raps. Also Plumlee's battle in the paint with JV.

Anyone know when the lottery takes place? Is it right after the finals or what? Would love it if the Wizards make it through, we're seeing upsets already.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pacers lose the series,if they make it through I doubt they'll get past the Wizards with the way they're playing.. Something happened in the dressing room, they're collapsing.

Jesus, drinkin' that hator-aide? I'm personally a LeBron fan, with a LeBron jersey and I'm from and live in OKC... and yes I'm a Thunder fan and yes I wear my LeBron jersey to the game when he comes to town.... so god forbid if these "LeBron worshippers" like him where ever he goes, because I will. Times are different now, it's not about the logo it's about that name on the back.

I'm sorry you can call Jackson the most over-rated coach, but don't downplay the man's coaching skills. Pat Riley couldn't even lead the Knicks to the promise land when he arguably had the best center of that decade. Kobe and Shaq hated each other and could barely co-exist with each other off the court.

I'd hate to be considered a "bandwagoner" but it is understandable.

In my defense; LeBron James has been around longer than the Oklahoma City Thunder.... I didn't even like the Oklahoma City Hornets when Katrina happened...... and I've been a religous Dallas Cowboys fan to whom that may concern.

I didn't mean it disrespectfully, but yeah, a bandwagon fan is someone who supports a team only because of one player, and if that player moves to a different team they then become a fan of that team as opposed to the team they were just supporting. A lot of people hate that stuff, but personally I couldn't give a sh*t less who other people choose to support.

For example: a lot of people support Melo and therefore support the Knicks, but if Melo ends up on the Bulls next year they'll become Bulls fans because Melo is now on the Bulls (I'm not saying all Knicks fans would do this; I'm just talking about bandwagon fans specfically).

Oklahoma City Hornets? What?
