The players gave up hours before the game started. In their defense though, with these huge contracts and stuff do you want to risk blowing out a knee during this meaningless game? Silver has a lot of work to do to change the game to make it better but, at the same time, make it so nobody risks major injury.

With everyone healthy, I believe my Knicks could have reached the conference finals. Now they'll be lucky to get to the second round. If they're not careful, they might wind up in the play-in.

Final day of the regular season. Lots of chaos. Hold on to your butts.

 

As a Spurs fan, the season ended a long time ago. But Wemby is going to be something else as he continues to grow and mature. Now the Spurs need to start building around him. They will have a high draft pick so that will help. Get a few other good pieces around him and the Spurs will be a dangerous team once again but this will take time to do. I think their goal for next year should be to make the play-in.

Nuggets get the two seed and the Spurs have the fifth worst record which will affect their chances of getting the number one pick in the Draft a bit but not much.

Unless they purposely lose to the Pelicans but that's risky since I think the Warriors or Kings could beat them

After everything the Knicks went through, to get the #2 seed is a testament to how tough and gritty this team is. I don't know how far they can go without Randle, but we'll see. In the playoffs, defenses tighten, so they'll need more scoring from "the others" to take the load off Brunson. Philly with a healthy Embed is a problem...I'd prefer to face Miami.

I bet lakers would love to play Thunder instead of Nuggets but unfortunately they risk playing Sacramento who also own them this season.

Curious to see how the WNBA will fare now that Caitlin Clark-mania has arrived.

In terms of hype Clark is to the WNBA is what Wemby is to the NBA. Both are once in a generation transformative talents.

I really only started NCAA Women's basketball because of Cam Brink and Clark. Brink, since she's on the local team to me (Stanford).

 

Clark in the WNBA, and Golden State getting an WNBA team in 2025 means I'll probably start watching.  Especially if the Warriors are heading back to mediocrity as the trio gets old.

Every dynasty has to end. Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, Spurs, and even the Warriors. The only question is how many rings can you get along the way. Warriors got about four (I think?). That's not too bad. Last Laker dynasty got about four, the Spurs got five, and the Bulls got six (and could've had eight if Jordan didn't play baseball for two years).

Nuggets get the Lakers in the first round and the Warriors wash out at the play-in. Given recent history between Denver and LA it seems pretty favorable for the Nuggets but don't underestimate LeBron and company. Still, I think Denver will eliminate the Lakers in five games.

Welcome to playoff basketball, folks....tough, physical and gritty Game 1 at the Garden. What an effort by the Knicks, especially by Josh Hart. How about his hustle on the boards and hitting those clutch 3s. Got to show love to Mitchell Robinson too, doing all he could against Embiid. Plus he nailed those crucial free throws late in regulation. This is going to be a long series. I could see Philly getting a split on Monday.

 

For me, the most intriguing series is Pacers/Bucks. I could see Indiana pulling an upset.

Losing Jrue Holiday didn't help either.

 

How nasty is the Joker. Right now, I'll put him in the top 10 of NBA centers. Not better than the holy trinity (Wilt, Kareem, Bill Russell), but right there with Shaq, Hakeem, Moses Malone, Ewing, Robinson.

Crazy ending to both double headers today, philly choked that 5pt lead with 28 seconds left. Lakers choked a 20pt lead, after blowing their load in the first half

 

 

He has as many as the rest combined!

 

He's also about to be the first player in NBA history to win an MVP award in 4 straight seasons, '20 MVP, '21 MVP, '22 FMVP*, and '23 MVP.   *He really should've won the MVP last season, which would've been a first for regular season MVPs in a row.

 

He's moving into the top 5 centers and top 15 players of all time

I don't know about that one. The bucks were 30-13 before they fired their coach, went 2-1 with the interim and then 17-19 with Rivers without Jrue.

 

Jrue hasn't done sh*t with the Celtics in the playoffs, 15pt on 6/20 shooting in 2 games lol

He in fact did and did it again in game 4..

 

They've held the lead for over 135 minutes while we're over 40 minutes and tied for like 15 in this series. Quite frankly we're lucky to be up 3-1 while playing like dog sh*t.
