news flash whatever you say isn't the majority either, the consensus on here and on television and on the radio makes you sound like your in the minority. So just stop dude. if you can't accept the fact that some folks, myself included, are compassionate fans then just quit posting about it. We know the players don't owe us anything, but if I spend my cash on merchandise and tickets then I can be as compassionate as I f*cking want. again... I UNDERSTAND PLAYERS CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT, THEY ARE NOT TIED DOWN TO ONE CITY. your making me repeat myself because your acting like I don't know this. Maybe me putting it in caps will catch your eye or something.

You also mentioned it being melodramatic. It's a small town market with one major sports team, the only thing this state has is Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Tulsa sports events. So yes, everyone here took the move KD made to heart. Some people went full LeBron leaving Cleveland mode which is just petty bullsh*t and shouldn't represent an entire fan base.

Weren't you the one whining about st.louis losing the football team and threatening not to watch football after the Kaepernick fiasco?

I'm not sure how I feel about Durant's decision personally. I do think it was different from Lebron's but then a part of me thinks well that's nitpicking. If you aren't for "super teams" then you shouldn't be for "super teams" full stop. It's definitely an interesting debate.

Like personally I can't help but think whatever ring Durant wins this year is somehow devalued. I mean surely it has to be? GSW isn't just three big stars with role players. It's a uninamous MVP, all-NBA, all-star and championship roster. Now plus KD. A former MVP and one of the best wings in the league.

I wonder what if he joined the Wizards with Wall, Beal, and Durant they would have been a great team in the east but eventually they'd have to go through the Cavs in the playoffs.

I find us debating this thoroughly more entertaining than the Finals have had to offer thus far.

It is a good debate. But again, I'm not losing sleep over his decision, KD's not paying my bills and putting food on my table so there's no personal attachment to it for me. It's simply an opinion and just like what's already been said, the nba lives because of the customers. Any business lives because of customers and with that there's gonna be differences of opinions and debates. If anything those damn ESPN "analysts" and talk show ppl are more invested than we are about these kind of topics because they actually do that for a living.

I will say though, if somehow.... somehow lebron ends up pulling some kind rabbit to beat this team, those MJ over lebron debates are gonna get even louder.

Even as a thunder fan who took it hard, I'm definitely not losing sleep over it either. I just have a strong and common (especially common within the city) opinion of the situation. El Diablo is right about one thing, sh*t like this didn't happen in the last generation or any generation of basketball for that matter, so it's new territory basketball has entered, and I hope it doesn't trend this way. Golden State and San Antonio became a mega success because of their management, the ability to draft players and develop them into outstanding players.... something OKC was great at, but couldn't hold onto the third major piece in James Harden, and believe me, we OKC fans/natives are very, very f*cking salty we had something comparable to what Golden State had in their big 3. But Presti is a f*cking moron, and James wanted his money, rightfully so. Westbrook, Harden, Durant, Ibaka, and Adams, I mean dear mother of god.

San Antonio and Cleveland (and maybe Boston) need to reel in big time players to even compete with the Warriors in a 7 game series. I'm seriously talking like this series is over. This series is significantly different from last years, the difference is Kevin Durant and not Harrison Barnes and that's why it's a wrap. I hope I do put some sort of jinx on them, admittedly. The LeBron vs MJ debate would be a real discussion for even MJ diehards if LeBron and Co. can pull it off.

compassionate fans

lol yeah.

you guys are so angry that a man decided to go and make a better career for himself. super compassionate :sigh:

Weren't you the one whining about st.louis losing the football team and threatening not to watch football after the Kaepernick fiasco?

never said I would stop watching.

I said people who live in St Louis were talking about boycotting the NFL but I don't live there anymore. it was about the team leaving, had nothing to do with Kaepernick. I would argue that an entire franchise pulling out of a city for extremely shady financial reasons is a little different than an individual player trading teams in order to improve their career. what the Kroenke family did with St Louis taxpayers is borderline criminal.

but that's different story.

The difference was KD. Dude was completely cold in 2-3rd quarters and decided to ball the f*ck out in the 4th. Well here's for hoping Cavs can be the first team to come back 3-0 in the Finals.

I don't see how the NBA will tolerate the Warriors for the next few years, how are they going to milk the customers if most series are going to be 4-5 games? Especially the Finals.

Looks like it's a wrap. I was hoping this is how game 1 and 2 would have been but o well. As I feared, even with the cavs being able to keep up with them for as long as they did, gsw have too much fire power coming down the stretch. That run was inevitable and is why I don't see the cavs even winning a game. I guess it's time for Lebron to start thinking of how they're gonna combat this team, wether it's brining in a Paul George or melo and somehow not giving up love and kyrie.

And that's the biggest issue. Cause this is completely different from past teams that have dominated or even players that have dominated the league because at least there was still some kind of competition. Like now it's like a foregone conclusion on who's going to be coming out of the west every year. Or the other issue is whether or not this starts a super super team trend. Like if the cavs end up getting another star like a pg or melo, than it's gonna be the same teams every year. Even back in the lakers celtics rilvary days they didn't see each other three straight finals in a row.

I don't think the Cavs can get another Star they're already over the Salary cap and are the highest paid team. Unless Lebron can get the Banaboat together for a very low salary.

I don't even think bringing the banaboat squad to Cleveland would be enough to stop Golden State, in all honesty.

The Golden State style of play is something that can't be f*cked with, especially in a 7 game series. Too much scoring from all points of the court, it's quite unfathomable to think about stopping. You just have to outscore them, and no team in the league can do that. I don't even think any team in any period could outscore this current Warriors team. Unreal.

How the hell could the Warriors be the only team to have blown a 3-1 finals lead? Oh my god.

It's absurd how good this Warriors team is, I thought Vegas were out of their minds favoring a sweep for them but there's a reason why they bring in 2 billion dollars every year.

For me this is the end of Tristan too, the Cavs should find a way to get a Anthony Davis in or something in the offseason to compete or we'll be seeing much more of this.

Watching the Warriors play basketball just leaves me with an awful taste in my mouth. All those fast break 3 point shots just hurt my eyes to watch, sh*t like that is why basketball is hard to watch these days. Take out the 3 point shot and they are just a good team at best.

Cavs had their chances but were undone by horrible execution down the stretch. See what happens when you go for threes instead of taking it to the basket? And I don't know what Kyrie was thinking on that fadeaway.

I don't know what more you want LeBron to do.....at some point, his supporting cast has to step up.

Not really. You don't think Rodman and Pippen benefitted from MJ's presence? Just because Bron was more passive doesn't mean he was more influential than Michael. It's apples and oranges IMO.

Anyways, it's a real shame to see a finals series go down this way. No one likes to see a potential sweep. But it looks like GSW really did need to add KD to beat this Cavs team. So how about that lol.

Late in the 4th quarter, LeBron needs to be more selfish, especially when Green has 5 fouls. But he doesn't have that Jordan/ Bird/ Isiah/ Kobe take-your-heart mentality.

Still, some of his teammates have to take the blame too. Jordan's guys (Paxson, BJ, Kukoc, Kerr) hit their shots when Jordan got them open looks. LeBron & Kyrie had little help. What are they supposed to do, play 48 minutes?

I was actually upset when the Knicks got rid of Shumpert. I missed his hustle & energy. But man, his game has not progressed at all. Dude has no outside shot. And Deron williams is a bum. Everyone on GS can make shots....folks forget how good Iguodala is. West can hit too!

LeBron is playing against 4 all star/superstars your point is null. Not to mention that LeBron didn't play with any other allstars his first round in a Cleveland. If you say "not really" or "lul what" to LeBron makes his players better, then watch more basketball, because you clearly have no idea what your talking about.
