Was really a toss up with the pacers/heat one.

Thunder losing to the Clippers. lol.gif

Spurs losing to the Nuggets. lol.gif

Nuggets - Clippers in the Western Conference Finals. lol.gif

Nuggets in the Finals. lol.gif

The only thing I agree with you on is my Pacers possibly losing to the Heat. We needed Danny Grangier back for the post season, and I'm afraid we don't have a strong enough leader for those physically challenging playoff games. David West brings that fire, but not that leadership that Grangier brings. Who knows, maybe our D is strong enough to take us all the way this year.

I would love to see Miami play Denver in the finals.

I've been a fan of The Heat since 2006 (because D-Wade + Shaq was just awesome).

and I've been a fan of The Nuggets since 2010 (when I moved to Colorado).

in my hometown (St Louis) there's no NBA team.

so in 2013 my two favorite adopted teams could actually face off for the championship and I could root for both of them and be happy with either outcome lol.gif

I somewhat understand that. I'm born and raised in oklahoma city, but I was big LeBron fan way before the slightest thought of Oklahoma having a NBA team, so walking around the arena with my LBJ jersey tends to rile folk up... I had the guy driving the boat in the canal call me out and got a few boo's for wearing it, it was hilarious.

Anyways, I see Spurs sweeping the Lakers. Lakers without Kobe in the playoffs in over a decade? I don't care if they have the supposed best big man in the game, they're average without Kobe right now. For Kobe's sake, he needs Dwight to come back next season in a Lakers uniform.

Why not? Nuggets have a winning record against the current playoff teams in the western conference. At least I didn't pick the Lakers to beat the Spurs.

Why not? They're 2-2 against eachother this year, so it was a toss-up.

Bitches, don't be surprised if it happens.

Bit late but here's my predictions...

Can't really look past the Heat really. I initially made these predictions before Westbrook got injured, so lord knows how the West turns out if he's out for long.

@GTA3Rockstar: Big shout for the Nuggets on your prediction bracket, can tell you're a fan! To be fair, I've got them going to the WCFs, I like their team - their series vs the Warrior has been the most fun one so far. Evan Fournier looks like he'll be a quality draft pick, a ton of potential on him.

Yea, very disappointing on how they're playing right now. If Andrea Miller didn't make that 2pt shot at the end of regulation in the first came, we could've been starring at a 0-3 deficit right now.

Ten straight playoff appearances and only got out of the first round once, so far. Better shape up or its gonna be the same case.

So Westbrook is out for the playoffs. The Durantula has to step up and be the true leader he is advertised to be. Russell took over at the end of this season and he looked like the number one guy, not Durant. I'm also hoping that Reggie Jackson steps up, as he has shown the potential to be a good player, let's see how he does when the spotlight is bright and he makes his first NBA start in the playoffs. I honestly think we won't make it past the Clips/Grizz but if we do, there is no chance past the Spurs in my opinion... and if that's the case, if anyone thinks the Spurs can hang with the Heat you're off your rocker.

f*cks saaake, caught both the Knicks-Celtics and Spurs-Lakers games and missed the Nugs-Dubs game last night. Missed the Nets-Bulls one tonight too - I've got poor decision-making skills it seems, keep missing the best ones! Nate Robinson, my lord, love the guy!

And yeah @GTA3Rockstar, I thought it'd be a close series between the Nuggets and Warriors but definitely expected the Nuggets to get it done on their home court, they're gonna have to pull their finger out in the next game and try to tie the series.

And @DOOM!, I still think the Spurs can make the finals, although their chances are definitely a lot slimmer. Still, Durant's the 2nd best player in the league and more than capable of taking over a game. They should get past the Rockets with a sweep or gentleman's sweep and squeak past the Clips/Grizz and maybe push the Spurs in the WCF. Whoever makes the Finals won't be able to topple the Heat, regardless. Even with Westbrook, the Thunder would've struggled.

So many big names out of the Play-Offs now: Westbrook, Kobe, Gallo, Rondo, David Lee, Danny Granger, Nash being old; seems strange.

What did you think of the Beverley play on Westbrook?

This is what playoff basketball is all about. You play hard or go home, I personally don't think there was nothing wrong with the play. When I played basketball in high school, my style was to be the up in your grill defender and that's the best basketball to play and to watch. Despite Beverley allowing Westbrook to do with he did with a torn meniscus he played Westbrook rather well and was irritating him.

Edit; for some reason I had a feeling we would blow a 30 point lead. ridiculous

Capricornus
They are too damn old.

LMFAO. I had to step out of the house for a minute but I see the Knicks lost. They should have gotten the dame job dob and swept the Celtics. Ah well.

The Heat do as I, along with many others, expected and swept the Bucks.

Yeah Celtics did their norm... dominate the first half and don't show up for teh second. They had the lead all the way up 'til just about a minute. They should've handled the Knicks easily, but like in game 1 and 2, they just don't show up... or in other words, they're old.

edit; Dwight Howard gets ejected, had some heated words with the GM as he was walking towards the locker room. Kobe Bryant then proceeds to come out of no where to get a standing ovation and sit behind the bench. The end of the Howard-Lakers era? Seems so.

I'll bet they would have if J.R. didn't 't have a knucklehead moment. Inexcusable in the playoffs. Hopefully the lesson was learned.

Denver's done, unless they pull a miracle and win 3 in a row. Another year not getting out of the first round, hell they could've been swept. Pathetic

...yep, and they can't pin this on Carmelo, lol.

Good win by the Nets last night, avoiding elimination. Lopez was a beast.

awesome on him.

courage. leadership. he's got it.

but how is he the FIRST ever openly gay active player (in the US)?

this is long overdue.

and from the NBA? really?

I coulda' sworn a baseball or football player would've done it first.

Urban Legend

Nice predictions there mark-

Best series by far has been Nuggets and Warriors. Can't wait for the second round. And to see how Miami will play against Chicago. I hope little Nate Robinson gets the sh*t packed outta his little ass on a constant basis.

There's been plenty, but it just seems like they wanted a full career in their sport, in case being active and gay caused problems.

Hope not. icon14.gif

I know there's been plenty of gay athletes who came out in retirement.

I'm just surprised that he's the first to come out while still active.
