Administrators shouldn't actually lock threads, its more of the moderators job. The moderators just know the GTA V section is hard work, so they stick to other threads. If staff on here don't like locking them, I can only suggest getting moderators to scroll through the GTA V section. As it's the most spammed section. I also see a lot of the things you mentioned in the OP. I agree, those spamming things are annoying and also the people who report almost every topic and say they have to go to the wishlist. Some of the topics are genuine and provide a topic worthy of indepth discussion, yet it's ruined with the one guy who posts something stupid, and then everyone else tags along copying him until someone has the balls to disagree.. Is there a way to add "inb4thelock" or similar phrases as blank post so that it won't get posted? If that won't work, how about a automated warning when idiots make these types of post? e.g. Idiots types inb4thelock, when posted, forum automatically changes that to something like "I'm a fa**ot" and adds a warning to the offending poster. The original message will be at the bottom of the post so others will know why that member was warned. A harsh method is to automatically temp ban anyone who makes these type of post. It's ALWAYS spam, a lazy excuse of a reply that show the user will put more effort into avoiding actually having to think about the subject at hand than they will anything else. A majority of you are just retarded. I'm a moderator, and i'm sure 50 "InB4thelock" posts a day would most certainly get annoying. BWpunisher Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) I would just like to post something in support of what Ryan is saying and what others said about the images.....I just came off a 7 day posting ban for posting images like inb4thelock and facepalm gif's etc. I've had an entire 7 days to learn what goes, on this forum and what doesn't. It's clear that images are a no-no. When I joined up, I was under the impression that they were alright due to the sheer amount of posters using them - but they weren't. So while, I know the troll posters won't give a sh*t since they come here to troll anyways, but to the other posters that are legit here to talk, just stop using them. While we find them funny, others do not and most importantly the mods do not. They don't want this on their site. Trust me, a 7 day ban really sucks. There have been many times I wanted to join in on the conversations going on for this week, but I wasn't able to. The more posters that aren't trolls who use images, make it seem like it's alright for the newly signed up posters and as a result more people do it and it pisses off the mods even more. I was reported 7 times in ONE day for all the images I was posting. That should make it obvious to everyone that, that sh*t just doesn't go here. I think the rules about not having 'inb4thelock' is fine. However, I do think some 'one word posts' and those posts with just one image replying to someone's idiot post or something like that, I do find those funny sometimes.
