It's either Half Life 3 or GTA V...

I have n/ idea which one has bigger change of making it into the magazine...

either way i will sh*t my pants if they show any of em

I don't know what's the deal with all the Half Life hype. I played HL1 and HL2 and they were just another FPS (+ gravity gun in HL2 which was quite revolutionary for it's time)

Waiting for the HL fans who will eat me...

HL2 wasnt really huge. but source engine was. i guess at least for me the reason why im so hyped for HL3 is because they will have a new game engine. imagine watch dogs/ unreal engine 4 graphics + all the physics in source engine.. it would look amazing. i fell addicted to EVERY single valve game that ran source engine... ill honestly invest 100 USD just to get source film maker early

Funny really, if it was about 4 years ago I would of been really happy about HL3 but it's just so overdue I don't really care, I moved on.

Speaking on the subject, I was talking to a friend who is also a massive gta fan but has giving up waiting about V and we came to the agreement that after a few months when V has been released we would be gutted that we may have to wait 5 years or longer for another full Gta game. I think releasing a game in such long intervals is worse than a yearly release.

Yeah, but if GTA V will have as many possibilities as San Andreas, then you will play it until GTA VI will come out biggrin.gif

People play San Andreas to this day, while GTA IV not really, because it was quite boring after a while due to lack of things to do after completing the story. Also the location was too tight and urbanized.

Why don't say clear and simple that is not GTA V? Is it too simple? I hate this hype over the magazines

marketing&money

that tomorrow could become in bad marketing and a dissapointment that cause them to lose money in the future

after five years the hype is so high that if the game is not really amazing the gta brand could lose influence for the strong dissapointment. This is because the lack of info is bad to R*, the hype rise and if the game is not good......maybe gta never will be again what it´s now.

GTA V is R* "biggest and most ambitious" project yet.

And you know that every R* game is a masterpiece.

They certainly will not fail GTA V, and I bet scores of vast majority of magazines will not drop below 9.0 - 9.5 out of 10, and Gamespot user score will also not be lower than 9.

BTW I would really, really love to see Bully sequel. It was an awesome game really biggrin.gif GTA at school, with great story, missions and gameplay

It makes me all giddy and comfy seeing heaps of users reading a topic. Times like these are always fun.

EDIT: @Punkd No they really didn't. GTAIV was one of the greatest successes in entertainment for a long time.

That's fine. That doesn't mean GTA4 was a failure though. But to me GTA IV was the best GTA(followed closely by SA and VC)

The only thing that GTA IV has advantage over SA is it's graphics and physics.

Good physics was what GTA series always lacked in my opinion. Killing and hitting peds with cars was very dull without seeing how they realistically reacted to it.

GTA SA with IV physics would be badass.

Now GTA V will be basically SA with IV physics and graphics biggrin.gif

So, you say GTA IV is worse than GTA III? I don't think so.

But it's weird that IV didn't have side missions like Policeman, Ambulance driver or Taxi driver. There wasn't really much to do in IV compared to other GTAs

The city felt like how city should feel like,tHe main character had much more depth, the vehicle physics, the euphoria middle engine. The rage engine. The multiplayer etcc were all great.

Anyawys lets not drift away from the topic.I can see a potential drift happening here.

Yeah, back at the topic. Too bad there isn't really much to talk about until tomorrow's cover reveal.

And there won't be anything to talk about then anyway, because the cover will not be GTA V and this thread will get locked biggrin.gif

Anyone else think that GI would do a GTAV cover for the month of september?

So, you say GTA IV is worse than GTA III? I don't think so.

We need to look at the context, gta III broke with all the thoughts that the people had about videogames in 2001.gta III was a true revolution in terms of freedom and offer a game with no limits, where you can do what you want. Gta III led to gaming to a new level.I hoped that gta IV would do the same, break all the limits that we knew as facts in 2008,but sadly they failed.

@ferocious banger;Anyone else think that GI would do a GTAV cover for the month of september?

It´s more likely this month I think.

Really? Cause i thought it was pretty much a given. The game is taking place once again in Los Santos. It of course will have the physics of IV, actually..improved physics, look at RDR and MP3. The graphics will also be better, look at GTA IV, and then RDR, world of difference. It just depends on if we get all the features back from SA, like how you had to eat and train your body. I don't know if they'll bring that back, but it's possible.

A Nickname For All

Hey fellas just came home and read this Andy's tweet.

@jocjac this is a trick question. Let me put it this way, we will try to put GTA V on the cover between now and 2014! #dodged

What do you think about it?

Jesus, those tweets really ain't making it any better. Maybe he's doing it on purpose, to fool people and have them believing nothing will happen, and then tomorrow reveal the cover as GTA V. But i highly doubt that. 2014 is a joke obviously though. Nobody knows when exactly the game will come out, but 2014? Lol,no.

Yeap, really.

If all they did was re-texture the exact same game as San Andreas to Rage and improved all the graphics etc, kept all the mini games etc.. I'd be over the moon!

GTA SA was huge!! I remember the first time i derailed a train, I was like WTF, you can do that!? lol.

So yeah, I'd be more than happy if that were the case, the map was huge with all sorts of terrain, be so much fun driving around that map again, especially with GTA IV car handling.. Just be a dream for me..

At the moment Im not expecting GTA V to be as large as GTA SA in terms of map size and content.. but hey, as long as it has some good ol country side.. it'll suffice.

Yeah i most definitely agree with that, countryside is a must.

Just now i remember how it went for GTA IV. Debut trailer, and slowly, little by little they started revealing more info. About its story, the characters, the realism they were aiming for. And look at what we got of V so far....so little. I'm surprised there are still alot of people that believe the game will release this october, when there hasn't been a shred of real information on anything yet. Hell,....the platforms even haven't been confirmed yet, damn.
