So we have one guy who will eat his shoes if we get no info and one guy who'll eat his pubes if we do get info.

Okay, what do you think will be on the cover if the time has come?

 

I am guessing it will show the protagonist(s), at least a car and the skyline in background. The "gameinformer" title will be written in the GTA font style (Pricedown). Like with Borderlands.. look up few pages back, I posted two different covers with the style different from norm.

Apparently the PS4 will use Gaikai, and from what i heard it can't really be a very powerful machine then, can't say i understand that logic though. But that's the latest on Sony.

 

 

As for the cover, personally i don't think it;s GTA V. It would have been hyped much more. I know they can't simply flat out say..yep we have it on the cover. But something to make it clear that it's serious business this time, is what i expect when a cover is the next GTA.

I don't really know much about these things, but if the specs on that 50+ pages document of Xbox 720 was real, the console won't be as strong as Epic hopes it is. And again according to comments on vg247 and other sites, that means the next gen consoles can't really be considered very strong or whatsoever. Ah well, time will tell

From What ihear the PS4 will not be a console but a cloud service that allows you to play every PS game ever on anything.

 

Im doubtful on that because then how would you progress in graphics and games for your brand. Im thinking the Ps4 will be a console with cloud based technology but PS4 game will be being developed for it. Hopefully If im right PSN will more than likley be streamed and have a better serve than as of now.

As for the 720... well, the birds are tweeting some pretty impressive specs (for a console), as far as I know the 720 will be almost as powerful as my current PC.

Well, from what i understand the CPU itself already is around 6 times more powerful than the 360, to me that sounds awesome. But to several others, for some reason..it sounded very weak and dissappointing. I believe Epic was hoping for a console 10 times stronger than 360, but i doubt thats going to happen.

 

It's all so vague too. MS keeps avoiding questions on next gen stuff. In fact, MS's Phil Spencer said there's more than two years life left in the 360. He could of course mean that the 360 could exist next to the Xbox 3, i sure hope so. Cause i'm definitely ready for the 'next gen' . While some games still look very impressive on the console, too many start to look dated...and alot of devs and publishers can't wait till MS finally starts with the next gen. I think Sony is just awaiting what MS is gonna do.

No, I mean the specs of the alpha dev kits... which should be a better indication of the final hardware than those 4 (CORRECTED: 2) year old documents but aren't quite as "public".

 

As for Epic, I think they had those same kits for a while now and will therefore probably not be disappointed.

 

And I'm at the very least 99% certain that we'll see the next gen consoles next year, next and current gen can co-exist to an extent.

I hope you are right man. I am ready for finally a good E3 from MS again...aside from Halo 4 which really amazed me, and i'm not a Halo fan, and Tomb Raider..their E3 was bullsh*t. A new console reveal is huge and would make their show alot more interesting. I certainly hope so about the CPU, i mean...its still possible that they are going with the specs from that two year old document, look at what kind of pricetag they were aiming for...although i doubt thats going to be the price of the system. Either way, it would make sense to finally unveil a new console next year. This E3 they didn't really show anything new for the 360, well,nothing incredibly big. Gears of War Judgment didn't even got a proper reveal, a simple ass trailer and nothing new. And reports are that the game is planned for a february release, all before E3...it makes sense i guess. We're gonna have to wait and see. I just hope one thing, that MS ain't gonna be relying on Halo , Gears , Forza and Fable again. Please MS...a new IP or two.

Well, it's not just the CPU that makes a system, don't forget about GPU, RAM, HDD, ODD etc. as well... if you want to know more about console dev kits there is info all over, there are tons of great, dedicated forums... though as far as I know there's no public info on the Durango ones as of yet, sorry. All of that stuff is under a very restrictive NDA.

 

The leaked "durango summit" slide does have some info though, just like those documents you mentioned.

Secondly,(and this probably means nothing) two guys (that I know of, one of them was my friend and the other dude I don't know but I noticed his response before it was hidden...the responses themselves can still be viewed on their profiles....so they didn't delete them on their own or anything) tweeted to them responding to GI tweets asking about GTA V and those tweets were hidden while the other tweets asking if it's Half Life 3 w/e remain.

My friend asked both about GTA V and Watch Dogs seperately to see what they will respond with....both tweets were ignored from both guys. Ever since that time Andy said he was doing the opposite of teasing a GTA V cover, they have stopped saying anything. I am wondering why not just respond with a "no" like the other times. That will make everyone STFU quickly.
