I hope that it will not take YEARS. Because the mod is already in the development for years. But the volume of work to be made scares me a little. This is on the first view game's territory not very big, but really it contains from hundreds of textures, models etc, and in the mod just each texture (image) is remade (in more or less degree).

King Shady, glad to see you in this thread, you have been one of the first who wrote in my thread in far 2012. :)

A collab would be cool 😮 maybe you could remaster the vegetation (along with the shrubs that are part of the map/objects) to something good looking yet lowpoly?

New video is released: LAn2 and year results

It's very good that I finally can say definitely that I've finished this section! Like always, I can add that this doesn't mean that there will not be any changes and little improvements, but main work is finished. I present you a new large video that is dedicated to the LAn2 section of Los Santos! Enjoy watching.

Magnificent work as always! Can't help but ask: have you found anyone to help you with doing some prelight on the ammu-nation gun model? Since it looks rather weird as it is now. Great job on the actual model though!

Thanks, LaDiDa! I do not want to touch this model anymore. It has prelight - and you can find previous screenshots - I've did even glowing (at night) windows on the Ammu-Nation's building. This model was saved by me with Deniska's plugin and I have problems with import it in 3ds Max. I did not saved it in .max unfortunately. Edited by Flame

Sorry, should've phrased that differently. I meant to ask if it did have prelight, since it would look odd without it. It does since you said so, end of that ☺. Looking forward to 2017s progress on hrt 1.4 (don't rush it, whatever people say, If more then anything I like to see people progress in their creativity and not just releasing projects left right and center, this is already a big step up from 1.3 😉).

Really you deserve many things specially that working and struggling for this mod and you have finished what is about 37% only of the map.

But I have a question.

Is there's a way to combine SRT3 Mipmap textures with your models once it releases ?

(as a player not an uploader)

Why the hell would you want to do that?

In case you didn't know SRT3 and HRT are 2 different mods
The goal might be the same but it's up to you to decide which one is good and which one is bad
Asking that question was kind of retard if you ask me
I don't want to insult you but you can do that by yourself , can't you ?

No, I am talking about once it releases. not comparing. they are both good and I think HRT is better in case of models but as a user can i Replace his textures (as a player) with Srt one but keep the remastered models.

You still didn't understood , I don't want flame to do that I am asking is it possible to use SRT textures and replace his textures (myself) but keep his models and no bugs or glitches or models that are missing some textures cuz you know when you replace a textures with an edited models problems like these can happen cuz when someone edit a model he can use different textures with different name itself so I am asking , If I did that as a player not as an idiot who is going to upload without permission can I use custom textures but keep the same models and no problems will happen?

this is my question.

Since HRT1.4 seems to also add new textures to models you will end up with untextured models in places... If you would really want to mix them you'd need to do it manually with tools like magic.txd and add the new textures into the txd's of SRT. But then again their style might be horribly mismatched (HRT is vanilla look, SRT is some weird dark looking junk to me that doesn't fit in SA, it also destroys Los Santos' Binco by renaming it therefore being not lore friendly either). I'm not saying the textures aren't any good, for me they just don't fit in the game.

DubHaMlg777, of course, as a user you can try to combine any mods in any order, as you want. This is an advantage of modding - we can try to create an ideal for us version of the game. But what about a technical side of the question: LaDiDa already have answered for me (thanks for this) - on the modified models can be added new textures (that are not exists in original txds), as a result will be problems with displaying of almost all the models. In my opinion, this is not needed.

And I want to make a small announcement - soon I will return to the news about the mod, with mod everything is okay.

Are coll files being made for all the objects and buildings?

Collisions in the mod are made only for objects that require this.

For example, if I improve in some way models (and their proportions or sizes became a bit different, in comparison with original model), or I add new part on the models - it's needed to create new collision, because will be bad if "palpability" of new objects will be the same as in original model.

Also very often I just fix old collisions: then player can go trough the model, it's needed to remake collision to fix this. In these cases collisions in the mod are new.

New video: Los Santos streets (section LAn2) and some little announce

The first news in this year will be again dedicated to the LAn2 section. Despite on fact that the main works with it are finished, there are left something that deserves attention. I post a little video (in which was included some extended scenes from previous big trailer), shows some objects and streets of this Los Santos part.

And in a very short time we will move to absolutely new materials and media. But these media will not be images from the next part of game world, as usually. Next time I want to draw your attention at vehicles in the mod, and how the textures of different vehicles will be changed. (It is not danger to the next part of Los Santos — that, by the way, called LAs — because works with this section are already in progress).

Not three, four! But if be honest, for me the interest to the mod is also very important. At the same time I can do mod only how I do it; if I cannot do it faster - I have reasons for this, but I will strive to do the mod faster. Eventually, this mod is the hobby, and I will not plan to go crazy from the hobby and make penal servitude from the development. So I just say that I much obliged for those, who like the mod as it is.

Do the vehicle textures have the bugfixes (textures missing with default textures) included?

Or maybe you could use SA Default Improved Cars as a base (contribute to this opensource project)? Just an idea of course but it could be interesting.

Now on to your video of course and then back to checking the topic on both moddb and here daily (most of the time) 😁.

I hope Flame goes with this idea. I personally use it with Junior's improved vehicles.txd and it looks great. The only things that need to be changed are interiors.

I have "not came" to the bugfixes and missing textures. By the way, you are informed in this theme, where I can read about all these bugs on the textures of cars? I see some little mods that fixes missing decals or something like this, I wanted to do the same in my mod, like in these mods.

And about SA Default Improved Cars - do you mean this mod? Really very interesting thing! Finally these models were improved. Because I am "weak" in the models still, it's difficult for me to fix vehicles models. Maybe it have sense to include this mod into HRT, but I'm afraid to include a lot of third-party mods, because it is a big risk to make a mod-pack, a pack of mods, not my own mod, and because of this I include to the mod only first importance components, like SilentPatch, for example - without which game will work bad.

And to back to the cars - in my mod I just improve cars textures a little, they are based on the original game textures and repeat original textures. So such mods like this cars mod, and like that previous old mod where cars were improved, must be compatible (if they uses original textures, they can use and my textures). Don't wait a lot from my improved cars textures - this will be a pleasant addition (and can be installed optionally), this is not a main part of the mod.

Most cars had no texture for mirrors and the like so their textures are absent in the original .txd's (just like decals),

Some models had wrong uvw mapping which should indeed be compatible with original .txd's, maybe an alternative would be to take a look at the differences between the original .txd's and the SA Default Improved Vehicles .txd's (just to get an idea of what is actually missing) and then create your own .txd's (not actually using any other mod, since the textures seem to be compatible with original models too).

Also to avoid creating a modpack you might be able to contribute to that teams mod and then put a link here for that mod (like you do for silent patch and like vclf does, that's allowed right?).

None the less if you just use the original txd's i'll probably wind up adding them myself in the txd's of SA Default Improved Vehicles for personal use ☺.

EDIT: yes I meant that mod.

By the way, I think, that will be not bad idea (what to do with such very good and interesting mods that fixed original bugs and made in "vanilla" style), to create some kind of "Other mods" list, in which will be listed some mods that will be compatible with HRT, and that user can install with HRT. I'll look at SA Default Improved Cars's files later. For a start, I want to improve original txd's in the same style as in the original game (with the same structure of txds).

What are your plans once you are done your second pass of Los Santos? Are you going to start a first pass at any of the untouched areas before doing pass 2 of San Fierro?

I'm also just curious how much your workflow has improved since you started working on HRT 1.4 with your skills improvements, and with newer tools coming out.

Currently I don't know, it will depend from my mood (rather I mean inspiration), maybe it's needed to switch on completely fresh, untouched areas (like LV, countryside), maybe - to remake San Fierro (because it needs this). My skills really are little better now, and thanks The_GTA that we have Magic.TXD. Also it's needed to fix a lot of models on that San Fierro sections. And how do you think - what interesting will be for you to see, the remade San Fierro, or something else?

Countryside/the small towns for sure will be interesting to see redone. Las Venturas is exciting to think about too, with all those animated textures, and the casino interiors. Do your percentages of completion for each area include the interiors?

BobFromReboot, percentages of completion of the interiors are not included on the my development map. Thanks for the hint, it is good idea to add them to the map. But I cannot boast that I remade a lot of interiors. For me countryside, maybe, is even more interesting than the cities. I also have a lot of my own nature textures, hope I will find a lot of places where I can use them.
