I always liked the music you choose for the videos :)

 

Thanks! I am often use my favourite songs (and genres - classiс rock, rock and roll) for videos.

 

About Johnson House: it looks like that place without texture; I'll try fix this later. And better use JPEG for screenshots, PNG image is too heavy for ordinary screenshot. :)

Hey Flame thanks for this great re-Master project :) i think los santos and san fierro and 100% and 90% complete right ? :)

 

so bayside las ventruas and countryside is 0% and you don't start them yet right ?! and any news about release date or something ? :)

 

thank you for your'e hardwork ! if you can release HRT 1.4 in 2015 will be great news :)

Hi, John McFlay, thanks for your comment in this thread and your support. :) Yes, percentage of Bayside and Las Venturas is 0; Desert and Countryside - too. San Fierro is almost finished and Los Santos is finished, but I decided to redone Los Santos in new quality, why - you can read in this news on mod's site, also you can see development map with places (but I maybe already saw it). I very want release mod this year too. :)

if so, that will be great ! HRT 1.4 will be great and perfect mod ever for GTA SA :inlove: :inlove:

One thing at a time guys. I know Flame is doing a really great job at textures but he also has to reach a release milestone for this. I would appreciate cutscene actor touch ups aswell but the focus of this project has to remain the world textures. They alone are taking 100% effort.

Yes, little early to talk about other things, because world textures are main purpose for me. Everything can be, but I fear that the addition of new objectives can only postpone the release. Now my objectives: world textures (whole the map), vehicles, interiors, maybe trees.

These are textures from the first section of Los Santos that named LAn. To understand, how all these sections on which cities are divided look, you can look at my development progress map.

On the images above: one of roads textures (an old one texture is in 256x256 pixels resolution, new made in 2048x2048 from scratch), building texture, dirt texture, one of fixed models.

And about something that also can be interesting. As you remember, I took some Manhunt textures that were common with GTA: San Andreas, but in better quality. Here is one of them. But, of course, you must not think that in HRT will be a lot of textures from Manhunt. Their quality is not sufficient now, I just use some these textures to make mod more succession. In my plans is to investigate GTA V textures, there are can be some common textures that were used in previous GTA games, but in high definition.

and hey i have a suggest : when you done the project make some extra textures for HRT too :)

John McFlay, thank for your words, very pleased for me know that you are waiting for the mod. :) About "extra textures" - what do you mean?

Pavanjit 22, thanks! In the mod will be a lot of objects with reflections, but not real-time ("fake" reflections according to game technologies). What about real-time - I can promise only reflections on cars that will be added with ENBSeries, because I am not programmer and not creator of shader mods or something like ENB.

 

For example of reflections in the mod, you can see these videos:

(and other videos). Looks very good, I think. Unfortunately, we have a lot of limits and with reflections in this game, for example, they are not compatible with prelight of model (in some cases this is justified). Edited by Flame

@Flame: You can use ENB 0.248 for the enb. It come with an ingame configurator so it would be much easier. Also try using Marty McFly's MasterEffect 1.6.

 

@TJGM: Why isn't it possible???

The difference in quality is stunning! About the "BROADWAY TRADE CENTER" thing. I feel like the original texture was in a more comic-y style that fits the theme of San Andreas.

It has this warped attitude about it.

 

Just pointing out some things to inspire you for textures you recreate next :)

Roboi's Food Mart


Roboi's Food Mart is the network of shops. Specifically this one is located on LAn section of Los Santos (Commerce district).

See this image from GTA Wikia. As you see, graphical quality of this building is not very good in original game. I understood this when I changed textures to most quality. Even with better textures this building looked bad, and at the same this is not last object in Los Santos, because player can enter into the building (it has an interior, by the way, it is common with 24\7 shops), here user also can start courier mission.

Because of this I decided not only to retexture, but improve the model. An old model has only few materials (textures), new variant has much more unique textures in high definition. Here are some renders from 3ds Max, later I'll show this shop in the game.

Other than the roof, it looks awesome!

The most difficult thing is to make textures seamless which is extremely difficult.

Also the more font variety there is, the better.

You use sites which tells the font based on the pictures you send?

Yes, sometimes I use sites with automatic fonts recognition, but sometimes I just use similar font from installed fonts.

Why roof texture is bad? It mapped on the model too "tight", "squeeze", for the best look when we will be on the roof and will see it from short distance. Soon I'll post few additional images.

That was great , but the Roboi food sign have some differences from the original ones , i think you should improve it.

Thanks, but I don't think that this is so important.

I know it's not important , but still , to make a good product ( in your case , a mod. ) you also need to pay attention to small details. :D

 

But , that was just my opinion.

As you notice, I am like real fanatic doing all these small details, but in this case new font is not bad. :) Thanks all for good comments about latest images. Work on the mod going very good.
