No, oddly enough, I never studied the graphic design. Although it is very necessary to me. When I work in Photoshop, I always feel how much I do not know. I definitely have to learn this and continue to learn. I do not feel myself like a professional.

ONTOPIC: Nice Mod... I love the level of detail that you put on every texture you make, the way you make it look exactly like original textures but in HD, that is just... Amazing.

What details are you interested in? I think, interior of garage already shown on screenshots. But later I can post few screenshots.

 

P.S. I am confused by your avatar with Iron Cross, and I know that this is part of Slayer music band symbolism, but for me it will always associated with Nazis.

well the rainbow is to represent "Gay Pride" in the Castro District in SF... Which is why in GTA SA you see Rainbow flags in Queens (which is based on the Castro District) plus GTA SA pokes fun at the fact that its a gay district (the club is called the Gaydar station) so it would make sense that the rainbow walkway would be there to make it more "Gay"

Honestly, I forgot that it is a symbol of gays. No, we do not need make this game more "gay".

 

I can say even more - earlier, when I worse than now knew English, I did not notice a lot of vulgar things in this game (I mean not district) - all these billboards with vulgar allusions etc.

 

Now it makes me sad, because all these things make atmosphere of the state (with HRT this state looks beautiful) worst. Maybe be good, if I reduced the number of vulgar signs in the game. But now I do not plan to do this. Just thoughts. What are you think about this?

We had one Russian modder who translated LCS to Russian for PSP, while he replaced all things like billboards and texts to Russian propaganda...it ruined everything.

Just keep it how it really is, that's how GTA series works since the beginning.

Why did you decide that I want to add some kind of propaganda or inappropriate things? After years of careful work with original atmosphere. I just can reduce the number of vulgar adds by increasing the number of "harmless" ones. Remember Mafia 1, Mafia 2, L.A. Noire - without sexually anxious jokes on the billboards, cities look perfect and realistic. And again - these are just thoughts and nothing more.

This was just an example on how altering things is not good for the majority of people. I absolutely DO NOT mean that you are like that.

As I said before, why are we discussing such things even if 1/3 of the mod is not done yet? It's not the right time to discuss such things.

I believe you are a good, honest person who just has an opinion. And I'm respecting that.

But since you say you want to keep the the original atmosphere, maybe just include both versions vulgar and non-vulgar? There are not too much billboard textures. And with the Mod Loader, choosing versions is extremely easy.

I know very well how people relate to such changes. Of course, HRT 1.4 - is not that mod, in which I can do something "creative" (own ideas), in this mod I can be creative in exact following to the original game and this is a main feature. Perhaps, I can think about some "realistic (and non-vulgar) variant", but, of course, these are only theoretical reflections. In fact, now I doing mod and progress is very good.

nothing wrong with gay people. I mean, the gay pride thing is them being able to express themself, and like I said Castro is gay not out of vulgarity or hatred but as a respect to the culture they created... I see the rainbow sidewalk as adding in a bit of detail to Queens in GTA since they exist in the real life version of Castro... I personally have no problem with gay people, my roomate is gay, the woman I love is lesbian and ive known her for 6 years now... and my other asian friend is lesbian...

but part of the games magic is that its vulgar, anyway if you want to change that. I can probably give you some more amusing and harmless Ideas for the billboards and so forth that keep the atmosphere of the game but cut down on the sexual jokes...

I'm all for making Queens a lot more "gay", if that's the right word, especially if it's to make it more realistic to the real life neighborhood. That and San Francisco is pretty much the gay capital of the west coast, so there's your reason. Nothing too vulgar about gay stuff in general, unless you're that Russian propaganda guy that got mentioned a bit earlier.

Don't worry. The principles that were laid down in 2011, still are main in this mod: maximum compliance to the original game, its style and atmosphere.

 

So I do not plan to remove billboards or something like this, but I'll think about some addition to the mod (but I cannot promise this, because I have too much work with HRT).

 

About my opinion to such things - earlier I thought that these are not bad, but now I think that these are absolutely not funny; with times my views have changed and now I prefer more serious and dramatic games with more difficult stories, but I still like GTA games.

SFw section is last section of San Fierro. But I will do something other, not LV and not Bayside.

"Nazi crosses" were around way before nazis. It's a religious symbol actually, associated with hinduism for example. Then some people did bad things and those bad things were associated with the swastika. Western Civilization in a nutshell.

I am respectful to everyone who wrote posts above. But I consider inappropriate to put on the avatar symbol that was on uniform of people, who killed Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, European people, Jews. Iron Cross was established in Germany in 1813; then was used as the order under the Nazi regime. And let's not talking about such things in mod's thread. Thanks.
