Very nice, but do they have mipmaps? It seems too pixelly in the distance which suggests a lack of mipmaps.

I have not decided at this moment about using MIP-maps. Previously, I wrote: "Advantage is that the high definition textures no longer blinking in the distance. The disadvantages are: size of the mod will bigger, work on the textures take a bit more time, increase of FPS will be small." Most likely I will use them.

 

 

By the way, did you say that mip-mapping decreases FPS? I thought it increased it!

How do adjust the thickness of power-lines?

 

I like (almost love) them on Gostown Paradise; though they are slightly to thick, but original SA ones are slightly too thin. In the middle of the two would be almost perfect icon14.gif

I switched to the new section, LAw. Screenshots with this section from editor:

Now turn to the comparison screenshots.

 

The beach. On first screen you can see stall with the glasses. In the original game, it's very blurred texture, whereas (often I forgetting that it is not necessary to do every little thing) in the HRT 1.4 whole stall is visible in all details. (Here is the separate screen with the glasses).

 

Second screen - sand and pier. Sand texture based on sand texture, which I used in HRT Pack 1.3 and Endless Summer (but in all these mods texture looks little different). By the way, this texture is made based on my photo too. On this sand I was standing in real life. biggrin.gif For HRT 1.4 I closer this texture to the original, but specially left more than juicy colors.

Size-problem of gta3.img is easy to bypass, you can add one more .img-file by changing gta.dat, and even more if you are using fastman92's IMG Limit Adjuster. If size of mod is less than 2GB, then just name it gta3.img and make users rename their original gta3.img and make it load with gta.dat.

Ok, and if you need another extra 2GB then add another entry in gta.dat before original gta3.img.

Thanks for the tip, I heard about the adding new IMG archives, but never not tried to do it.

I think you exaggerate my abilities, but I'm glad. smile.gif

 

About the wires. So far I've almost not engaged textures of wires in the streets. Mainly I a bit improved them. Previously the wire is not conspicuous. But in the next section will be visible wires on the pier, I'll try to make them beautiful.

We also making GTA SA MRT-Map Re Textured..but we do not use the same textures..so we have some

 

original HD SAN Andreas Textures-find on net...on the very old site...for some graphics...

 

80 broken link....we have lucky

 

you can use them...enoy--good luck

 

We found some of it in SA...to belive____SA MAP Use 40 % of those textures...

GTAEngineTeam, hi! Amazing, you have found the original textures used developers themselves. It's very cool. icon14.gif The temptation is great to use them, but I refused. But thanks for the help, if that - I will write to you. Could you leave the links to textures, but remove the images (they can be useful to someone)? Since want to in this thread were just pics of my mod. smile.gif

Oh, I forgot answer to this. But it be interested and for other people: i will retexture all location.

Actually all of them are. The other 2 were degraded in quality (probably because of crappy rendering at the time).

 

I also noticed that the GTA III Xbox version had the same textures as in the PC version but in a higher resolution and more crisp and clear. GTA IV itself used a lot of GTA III textures that were in their original quality before degraded due to crappy rendering. Expect GTA V to have a lot of SA textures, just in high quality.

Previous sections (LAn, LAn2, LAs, LAs2, LAe, LAe2, LAw) have been enhanced; mipmaps added

 

Well, I finally added mipmaps to the all previous section (also i added mipmaps to a dam from the desert).

 

The decision did not come immediately. Mipmaps have its pluses and minuses. On the one hand, with mipmaps lost flickering textures in the distance, on the other - the FPS increase is not as big as I expected (previously I test it: I added mipmaps to a small area, and compared FPS with using Fraps, the difference was just a couple of frames), but maybe someone because of this mod will work better.

 

Also, I redid some textures from all this sections.

I don't know. I have some thoughts, but don't know, necessary to do "lite" version or not.

Smokes and fire are a problem too.

But also for low end PC's, not everyone can run GTA: SA with high resolutions textures mods.

High resolution textures will blink a lot in the distance.

I hope that the problem of blinking textures will be completely eliminated by mipmaps and anisotropic filtering, which will be activated in ENBSeries. About fires and smokes: I may be made special menu to change effects like menu in my Winter Vacation 2.0, Autumn Sunshine, Endless Summer and Spring Season.

 

But the idea is to make a version with lower resolution textures attractive. More info can be said after the release.
