Limit? What limit? I thought we had memory512/1024/2048.cs for that?

No. I'm talking about the limits, with which few people faced. Not limits (with blinking objects or textures etc) that fixing by memory512/1024/2048 or SA Stream Mem Fix.

 

In game we have also some other limits, something like limit to memory that used by a certain section or something like that. When it is violated only some objects are not loading, or loading only LOD-variant, but not main variant.

 

 

Pretty damn good.

 

Do you have a estimated release date or something?

Thanks. I have only inaccurate release date - 2013.

@Flame1251 Do you plan release version in slightly lower resolutions? If you read SRT topic you might see that problems with stability are encountered, because game engine isn't adjusted for "memory-eater" implementations.

While I can not answer, I just want finish the mod. The mod guaranteed will be stable enough to work on a modern and even not so powerful computers, do not worry. smile.gif

From what I know, the problems coming with SRT3 is caused by the Lod Mod which increases the quality of LOD's to match the same quality as original, close range models, causing huge load on the game engine and eventually crashing it. At least I can't remember that I would've had any crashes using original SRT3, but those became since Lod Mod was released.

 

And the limit problem is probably coming from the fact that San Andreas just won't use over ~500 MB of streaming memory, no matter how large memory size you set SA to use. Proven by Fastman92, and this may cause problems in San Fierro area as it does indeed have more complex map design and way more textures, adding to that all car mods that people are using can eat up quite a bit of the memory, causing LOD's to flash up more frequently.

As long as Flame doesn't make too drastic changes to the files in "maps" folder, like LOD Mod does, it will be fine. Keeping the file structure as close to the original is essential to the stability.

Looks good. Some textures are too 'clean' though. Add a bit more dirt and it will be perfect!

I have looked at your Russian forum about this mod, and noticed that not all people are nice to you there. People are jealous, and except HD texture of original textures which can't be stolen from R*. They probably don't know how to use 3ds Max, or TXD Workshop, or G-TXD or any of the tools. Hating will always be there, just ignore it, and do your job. Of course it's not easy to ignore it, but that's their job, to keep you interested in them, to persuade you to lose motivation.

About the dirt, the train station isn't very dirty in the original game, so no need to apply excessive dirt.

Cisterns (its models) have a movable reflections that added in 3ds Max.

Hey. What I think... Do you made this sign specially for me, right?

 

I have a tendency as much possible do mod by self. And despite the fact that you made perfect remake this sign, I was going to remake it.

 

But now I thought about it and realized that there is nothing wrong with that integrate it. Why not, this is a good texture and I can save a bit of time, because lot of work waits for me. So, I put your texture in mod and point you in ReadMe-file.

It looks more like simple spit to me. You can edit the text with Photoshop, depends now what program he used. Hold CTRL gives you enough angle and sideways to manipulate and stretch how you want any letter. Just to let you know that is the same font. Arial

And I again a little late. One of big projects was released - it's Spring Season 2.0 with automatic installation. But the biggest tardiness in my career in front, and I again talking about mysterious mod... ph34r.gif

No, I refused this idea (releasing mini-mods), because it slows down the main work.

EDIT: Will you be interested in GTA III High Definition Textures after you're done with HRT 1.4? Half of the textures you've done already since some of them are the same as in San Andreas, and the rest of them are reused quite often. Plus, the map is really small, and there's not a lot of going on in gta3.img file.

Do not worry, everything will be. smile.gif This project is a global modification; I planned release it in February, but still do not finish, in the next few days I release it.

 

Yes, I thought about retexture-mod for GTA 3 or Vice City, but... I do not think that after HRT I will to do something like that.
