Next city which I'll rework - San Fierro.

 

Five people voted in favor of San Fierro; no one voted for Las Venturas; in Russian forum thread two voted for SF, two - for LV.

 

Wait for new screenshots.

 

 

 

 

 

The countryside/desert doesn't have so many texture files. Cities require much more texture files because of the buildings.

Also don't forget that the textures in countryside/desert are repeating. R* did a very awkward job here. They could make out of 5 txd files to 1 txd file, because the textures are only repeating. So you can keep for example the desert with towns covered with your textures with only around 50 custom textures. But SF needs more than 150 I guess.

I do not think so. smile.gif Fifteen... are may only the ground and roads. But you also do not take into account dozens of buildings and various objects. Given the enhanced mountains - desert has a lot of work for me too... In San Fierro also not 100 textures. Thousand? Maybe.

 

Here are only textures in my folders with textures in BMP: LAhills - 261 texture, LAw2 - 292, LAw - 235, LAe2 - 614... etc. Some textures have duplicates (improved versions), also folders have some new materials, but them are not hundreds.

 

Always seems that the textures are less than are actually. smile.gif

 

 

Will it get .LOD in it and working perfectly with SA:MP?

Do you mean .LOD like in SRT? I do not know about .LOD mod from SRT and about it realization.

 

But, guys, later I tell you about other interesting graphic tweaks for HRT 1.4.

 

About compatibility with SA-MP. I am not sure, but I'll try make compatibility mod with SA-MP.

Original LOD's for San Fierro are notorious for being very low quality, and changing to normal texture way too late. This can be noticed in the mission "Supply Lines". Hope you fix one of those two problems. Looks from Big Pointy Building should be awesome, when you're done with SF. Good luck, have fun, don't forget to eat and drink, modders should also have some real-life time! biggrin.gif

Yeah, I know. I plan to do something with LODs (not only replacing to the most quality analogs). (Do not known, same as in SRT .LOD mod or not). Already, by the example of the last video you can see that LODs are not as irritating, and this only through textures. icon14.gif

 

By the way, thanks for wishes (about real-life - is very useful wish), you noticed that I spend a hell of a lot of time on mod. cookie.gif

I reloaded the separate mini-mod with textures of film studio in LS: fixed installer bug. I apologize if anyone was unable to install a mod.

Good work, but how about LS version? Maybe you can release HRT 1.4 Los Santos Only version? (for christmas will be really good). And i'm voting for LV (las venturas), it's nice city, looks alot better then san fierro.

He's not releasing separate versions. He wants a fully released mod for stability reasons.

SFs, part 1

 

As is the case with previous cities - San Fierro is splitted on few sections. In contrast to the more detailed (in my opinion) Los Santos - it has 10 sections, San Fiero has five sections, but they are very large. For example, first (do not count SFn section, with Bayside) section - SFs - includes the mountain with a television station at the top, and golf club, and part of the city. Here it is.

Lets move on to the HRT 1.4 textures.

 

This is one of road textures. It made in 2048x2048 pixels resolution (original - 256x256 pixels).

2048x2048 sounds delicious, just like this cookie cookie.gifbiggrin.gif.

In San Fierro, there's a lot of signs. Try to make the font as close as to the original texture. Like the Windy Street, or the Big Pointy Building signs.

One of the road textures. Like many (but not all) road textures, this texture made from scratch. Texture's resolution - 2048x2048 (256x256 - original texture). Second and third pictures are show same texture, but with more zoom.

By the way, San Fierro was indeed the most "sensitive" city, which explains why the developers made it less detailed - in some places I had to lower my textures resolution to 1024x1024 (instead of the original 2048x2048).

-Will you update cut scene interiors or mission exclusive areas?

-When do you think you might release it?

-If you release when its done, how long do you think it would take?

-When you release, are users allowed to port the textures to IV SA, and release with proper credits given?

-Will there be an optional ENB Series config?

 

I love these textures. They keep the game looking like San Andreas but in better quality. A lot of other HD texture mods completely change the atmosphere.

in some places I had to lower my textures resolution to 1024x1024 (instead of the original 2048x2048).

2048 is crazy, 1024 is more than enough, in most cases even 512 will do fine.

Don't ask him all these questions, he most likely doesn't even know half of these things.

I can not give all the answers at once. Better to wait with the answers on some questions because I'm afraid to tell lies or inadvertently make you wait for things, that I can not guarantee.

 

Los Santos is finished and waiting for final "polishing"; San Fierro - I now work on it; LV, countryside, desert - yes, not started, but I already have some textures for them.

 

Vehicles and trees textures will be new and enhanced, all interiors (included interiors from missions) will have new textures. On other issues I can not yet give an answer.

When I did mod Monument in honor of International Civil Aviation Day, I paid attention to the fact that some textures, in the place where I plan to install the memorial (Los Santos), may be improved; and I improve them (and added to the mod with monument as little but nice bonus).

I actually agree with you. As much as I don't want to start a texture pack flame war, look at SRT. Excessive grunge filters galore.
