Rockstar's next title after V and Agent?

I can't exactly picture Warriors 2. Would be difficult to think of a storyline for that game since the first one was based on the movie. So like the others, I voted Bully 2.

 

The first one was just absolutely awesome I was hooked on it all the time. Would like to see a new characters, school and a new protagonist although I wouldn't really care if Hopkins returned but most people would want a new protagonist.

 

A new Midnight Club would be good too(IMO), the last one I played was Midnight Club II back on the PS2 and that was a lot of fun especially some of the cheats that come with it too. I'll think about getting Midnight Club L.A. for the Xbox360, the walkthroughs persuades me to get it and I'd love to get back into the driver seat once again ..

At least remake the sequel for this current gen or the next.

To be honest, a lot of The Warriors the game, wasn't even on the movie. There was a whole section of the game based before the events of the movie, and there was flashback missions explaining how each member got into the gang. R* would have no problems making a new storyline if needs be.

I want a new handheld or secondary GTA game. I thought GTA Chinatown Wars was just as good as GTA IV and GTA Advance is one of the best games for Game Boy Advance. Sooner or later I think there will be a new handheld GTA, probably for the Playstation Vita I guess.

 

It has been a while since there was a handheld GTA. Before there were plenty of these games. GTA Advance was released in 2004, Liberty City Stories in 2005, Vice City Stories in 2006 and Chinatown Wars in 2009. Rockstar Leeds developed most of these games though, haven't heard so much of them lately.

 

I would also welcome a Manhunt 3. I'm not really a big fan of the Red Dead series but if there's another game I'll probably buy it though.

Another Bully would be cool too, maybe even with a tie in to the GTA series. What if R* took on college life?

Yeah I was thinking about this too, but I think it would be cool to take it outside of the U.S. Tokyo? I know it's already been done before in the series, but perhaps just Tokyo on its own?

I selected "None Of The Above" Because I'll never stop hoping for GTA SA Stories. I guss that could have gone under the "GTA For P.S Vita" selection but whatever.

 

Don't bother argueing the fact that the III era is dead. I don't care! I can always hope.

There isn't going to be one, and there never was one planned. Since Rockstar never planned to make one, they instead made a twenty-one minute cutscene called "The Introduction" that basically sums up what would have been a San Andreas Stories game.

Red Dead Redemption isn't a sequel to Revolver. They have nothing to do with each other. I consider RDR a separate IP since the first one was so irrelevant. I bet over 75% of people that Played RDR never even heard of revolver.

Technically RDR is a "spiritual successor".

My money on is on Bully 2 for August/September 2013. I would love to see Manhunt 3 for the next consoles (2014/2015).

 

I really hope they release a GTA for Vita near or with GTAV.

Without getting into the argument of life of Red Dead - my money is on a new Red Dead. It's(RDR) a money maker...and that is what business is all about.

 

I think the decision is actually really deep and a sign of how much the game industry has become part of mainstream life. I'm willing to bet there are meetings to discuss the demographics of "today's gamer". Most people who played ,Bully, played it while they were still in school. Enough time has past for all of those 'gamers' to have graduated and move into adult life. Stuff like that..

I think we'll likely see another Red Dead game after V and Agent. Red Dead Revolution perhaps? Maybe it can be based around Mexico during that revolution they had in the first game, we could be part of the guys on their way to Mexico City. As for Bully 2, I've never even played the first Bully game, but I think a second one is long overdue. As for anything else, it's all up in the air. A new IP would be a nice change from all the sequels, and then another LA Noire-type game set somewhere else (Chicago Noire? Prohibition-era?).

 

And even though I think it would be awesome, I doubt we're ever going to get a Manhunt 3. After all the sh*t Rockstar went through just to get the second one out, and the fact that I don't think it even sold that well, they've probably just decided to discontinue the series since they obviously can't make it the way they want to without people bitching and companies threatening not to sell it if it's too violent or graphic (and no doubt the gore would be top notch with RAGE and Euphoria). They probably think it wouldn't be worth going through the trouble of developing just to find out they can't even sell it without highly censoring it.

Seriously, this game is freaking beast. Closest thing to being a pirate frankly. Bethesda did a great job. Wouldn't mind R* having a go though.

yeah i remember playing this game on the most unstable pc ever made. Would crash as soon as it loaded xD

but it was a great game. but rockstar could totally do a pirate game better than anyone else. If it was like RDR it would rule

Something like Assassin's Creed without the Science Fiction approach.

An open world game set in the Middle Ages. But one without Dragons or Magic.

 

This has been done with "mount and blade", but something like that from R*, with characters like the McReary family in it which perfectly fit any century

Chances are if they make another Red Dead game it will be a prequal to Redemption. The best candidate for a protagonist would be Landon Ricketts imo. I doubt there will be a sequal to The Warriors or Manhunt although another Midnight Club is a possibility.

 

Also I've never played Bully since when it was released it didn't appeal to me in the slightest.. and still doesn't. Did it end in a way that hinted at there being a sequal? And if they made one, realistically, would it sell??

 

It seems to me like a one off experiment that fell flat on it's face to be honest so making a sequal wouldn't be worth their while financially as far as I can see.

Going more in depth to my last post, I really think that creating a sequel to Bully would be beast. I mean, they got an awesome setting already, add a nice plot and a bunch of cool features 12 year old kids like and you got yourself a bestseller.

It probably wouldn't be a sequel per say. It would most likely be a successor, with a different story and different characters. Like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead. It's my favorite Rockstar game. I'm glad it seems likely that Rockstar Vancouver/Toronto/Canada is working on that next.

 

As for it selling, I'm pretty sure it would. They can have so much fun with the marketing campaign for a game like this. Plus, the whole idea of Bully can interest a lot of people. Playing as a 15 year-old boy who bullies the bullies, and doing jobs for your sociopathic teachers. It can more openly attract the younger crowd, maybe.

 

The original game was rated T for Teen and still managed to be darkly hilarious. Though in this day and age, I kind of wonder if Rockstar would keep that for a successor.
